Of course I agree that it's massively unlikely that OP would have any sort of issue, but had formed the impression that in starting this thread they were looking for something more definitive than anonymous strangers saying that it should be OK…

The OP only asked about airport security and was told its fine. And as said, the airline wont care less. Internal flight anyway so the "Ibiza lager lout flight" theory doesnt apply anyway.

Once again, those Ryanair restrictions were simply an example to illustrate that airlines can set their own policies, so there's more to it than what the airport says, but yes, off the top of my head I'm not aware of any airlines operating domestic UK routes that impose any such rules!

I’m not helping this subject, but it does bring to mind an internal flight in Colombia in 2019 where one passenger boarded whilst drinking a pint. The people working on the gate seemingly didn’t care.

Just for anyone that is interested, the information/advice given here was good. I took a bottle of wine in my hand luggage through secuity no problem and onto the flight. Thanks to everyone for their input!

Just as an aside, if you are thinking of doing this you would just need to check what the liquid limits are for the airport you are travelling from. Our nearest airport has the new 2 litre liquid rules in place but some of the bigger London airports haven't changed over yet and still have the 100ml liquid rules in place - for example Stansted and Luton.
