Fuse energy

In case it helps I could only see a Gas tariff option on the Fuse site, but after starting a switch via the MSE Cheap Energy Club both my meters appear in the Fuse App. Maybe going through a comparison site sends the meter data to them, which perhaps works better than trying to switch directly with Fuse. They are definitely proceeding to switch both my gas and electricity now.
Direct debit took about a minute to be setup, and they say the switch will happen on Tuesday (2 days from now!). So far so good!

I just got the below email from Fuse today. The peak variable rate is a 10% increase per kwH and off peak rate has a 20% increase per kwH.
We're sorry to announce that we'll no longer be offering our EV tariff from 1 July 2026.
From this date, you'll automatically move to our Off-Peak Variable tariff, which offers off-peak hours between 1:30 am and 8:30 am (BST). If you'd prefer a different option, you can explore our Off-Peak Fixed tariffs in our app.

Same here. At first, I thought Fuse were trying to be a gas only supplier… Going to a comparison site, and the electricity rates are shown. Unit rates are higher than my current fixed with Octopus. Standing charges are lower, and there is a claimed yearly saving of £5. Really not worth the effort for such a trifling amount - If we get a long cold winter, that "saving" would disappear very quickly.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

also fuse appear to be not very eco as almost all their electric is from fossil fuels vs octopus where it’s all renewable or nuclear

Depending where you live/weather/season etc, everyone will get the same variable mix of electricity. The likes of Octopus are very keen on the REGO greenwashing scam introduced by the government.

No quite so in Octopus case they actually have a preference for generation and tariffs like Agile to fit those generation peaks and troughs and then lastly yes they buy Rego's. Less a green wash in their case I would put forward.
Still much better than buying no regos and you can say for certain it's a lot of dirty energy and hence the cheaper price on some tariffs.

Octopus also invest in wind & solar - I believe they are a major stake holder in one of the wind farms off the East Anglian coast. There was also talk of developing a solar plant in Morocco and running power lines back to the UK.

Yes I believe they generate over 4 TerraWattHours across 21 countries so they are definitely doing their bit

I (and probably some others) would rather have lower SC and unit rates.
