Haven't used this myself yet, but apparently it's very good.

#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided
#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now
#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing

I've been using it for a few days.
You need to use Firefox then install the add in
Then go to rightmove and search for houses you want.
At first you will see it shows today's date/price. But over time if the price changes you will see the first date you looked and the new (dropped) price.
If you are searching for houses in an area somebody else is, you will automatically pick up the information they have collected from browsing.
I spent yesterday evening performing a lot of searches to start off the date stamps in many areas... it helps others.0 -
This is an excellent tool.0

Me too. It's fab. Have started off with approx 2,000 properties in several different areas of England to help set the ball rolling.Illegitimi non carborundum.0

This sounds fantastic. I'd love it if only I could get it to work!
I've downloaded the add-on (and checked to make sure on the add-on menu) but when I search on Rightmove - nothing. According to the property tools website, there should be a one-line history indicating the property's current price, but I don't see anything.0 -
Otter, do you just see todays price? If so, it means you're the first to look them up, but when you come back tomorrow or in future, any price changes will then show?Illegitimi non carborundum.0

What I did was: loaded up every property of any price for a whole town; loaded every property up to about £200k for an entire county; loaded up every property for every area I'd been brought up in -and- where my sisters live - and where my parents live.
So quite a good bit of community spirit there methinks.
I am just going to give it another half hour blast of random areas ... rightmove has always been one of my top hobbies (sad, but I have odd obsessions).0 -
I've added large chunks of nottingham, and am seeing reductions alreadyIt's a health benefit ...0
