So not telling me that it would only be cheaper for six months is my fault.

In essence you claim you signed up for something with no supporting paperwork as some bloke claiming to be from EE told you it would be a better deal.
You need to check what you actually signed up for as currently it appears you don't know.
Things that are different: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
No that isn’t your fault. But you get a 14 day cooling off period. That is the time when you could have made sure you had all the information and terms and conditions before deciding whether to carry on or not.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have not could of.2 -
It is your responsibility to check.
If you think you have been mis-sold then you need to be very clear before going down an official complaints process.

Some info regarding door to door selling of EE

Yes, it was legitimate as I got it installed. I will take it up with EE and the ombudsman. This is not over. If I can make the case that I was mis-sold but I am going to try. I didn't know about this after 6 months which is outside the 14 days. Also I had to cancel my BB from Virgin.

That's not a lie, he doesn't work for VM, it's a mistake at best. Although you are correct, that's a terrible deal.

That's going to be a "he said, she said" thing though. EE will be able to point at the contract that you were sent and/or given at the time (regardless of whether you remember it or read it).
