So I just lost a case for a private ANPR PCN and not sure what went wrong

you’re right and in most case I am the unknown driver and RK wouldn’t name me

Just want to check whos name was the claim form in?

Luckily I wasn’t the registered keeper. My mother is who is old and disabled so wouldn’t really matter if she gets a CCJ
So it wasn't you in court at all, it was your elderly mother?

A very good question.
The story below - with a fair bit of detail in that first post - is unravelling isn't it:
"My defence was strong but still lost. Any idea why I lost?
I relied on not knowing who the driver was and refuted all of the above
Judge stated that ‘since it’s an anpr ticket, they’re not liable to identify who the driver was.
Since I am the keeper, I am liable to pay."

Indeed doesn't make any sense now

I went in with her and judge allowed it as I asked for it to be the case in advance
Also it’s important to note that the lawyer from parking eye tried to get us to pay her fees as well and the judge rejected her request - slimy as hell!

It’s in my mothers name

You are NOT the keeper
It wasn't your defence, it was her defence
She relied on them not knowing who the driver was
Presumably you acted as a lay representative , speaking on her behalf
The point is that your initial post was misleading, as if you were the RK and as if you were the defendant , so you misled us, because we believed that you were in the dock, whereas it was actually your mother, capiche. ?

I apologise for misleading you and everyone else - it wasn’t my intention to do that
I just wanted to keep things simple and straight forward and it didn’t matter who the keeper was because the PoC weren’t changed.
I’ll be careful next time. Thank you for pointing it out1 -
But the good thing is she is as unaffected by a CCJ as I would be. She's safe to ignore it. I'm a retired woman with no need for credit so it wouldn't affect me either but I would never deliberately accumulate PCNs. I don't use private land to park my car unless shopping or at a hospital, etc.
It only takes you having 3 PCNs from the same PPC over the years, for the total at risk of a claim to top the £600 floor limit.
