Thank you for your help. I have done as advised yesterday, and forgot to update. Hopefully that doesnt take long to sort, as the ccj is already showing on my credit report!! Not happy.

Should I be expecting anybody at the door to claim this money in the meantime? :(

Yes they will send HCEOs soon, so if I were you I would pay £15 to apply (form N244) at your local court to 'stay the writ'. Urgently.

NOT via the CNBC, at your local court, with a Witness Statement explaining why the High Court writ must be stayed because the claim was defended and received by the CNBC but they failed to log it. A complaint is in.

You seem to have missed the pm I sent you on May 13th; an offer of free legal help. Check your inbox. Help was offered months ago.

HI, i have recieved an update and not sure where to go from here. I'll post some of the email here.

    Thank you for your email.

Please note that a judgment was entered as you failed to file the directions questionnaire which was issued to you on 21st May 2026 and not because you didn't file a defence.

As you filed a defence to this claim directions questionnaires were issued to both parties on 21st May 2026.  As you did not return the questionnaire a sanctions order was issued to you giving you further 7 days from the date of the order to complete and return the questionnaire.  As we did not receive your completed questionnaire  your defence was struck out and the claimant requested default judgment.

Copies of these letters are attached for your information.

If you wish to apply to set the judgment aside and re-instate your defence a fee paid application is required.

Please refer to the notes below on how to apply

I am not sure what the directions questionnaire is? I dont remember receiving it it, the only letters I recieved were put on this group?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Also apologies for missing the PM, I use the desktop version of this site on my phone, and didnt see a notification until I clicked on a button.

Presumably the CNBC had your correct address. How strange it is that you failed to receive TWO letters. Do you normally have trouble with Royal Mail deliveries? Did you check your status on MCOL at all to see when the DQ was posted to you?

I dont have issues with Royal mail, but these two attachments that were supposed sent to me, neither of them have my correct address on. The only one with the correct address is the letter informing me that I recieved the ccj. It says my name, then where my address would be, is completely wrong. On both letters that they attached to the email.

I haven't been able to log into the MCOL service with the details they gave me. Hence why I've had to do this all via email??

Sorry for rushed replies, two of the attachments that they are claiming i needed to reply to, are called

    Notice of Proposed Allocation
to the Small Claims Track and
General Form of Judgment or Order

Both of which have my name on, and the same address on both, but that address is NOT mine, or even close to my address at all. It's completely wrong.

So this is obviously why I didnt recieve them
