Ccj forms received but dated 4 weeks ago (Merged)
Hi,
Please can anybody help me?
I have a claim form for a ccj against me from parking eye. The fines are from 3 years ago when I was an out patient at my local hospital.
It's dated 8th April. I've googled about getting extra time but I think I need to do it via letter rather than online. But will this take too long? I need to defend against this. I cannot have a ccj, I've been trying to rebuild my bad credit choices for years :(
I've read some of the newbie threads but I'm so out of my depth and I don't know how to put a pause on this whilst I find a defence.
If anybody could tell me the best route to make sure I can pause this? Call them? Send in a letter asking for an extension?
Thank you

Urgently log in and see if you have a default judgment!
If this was a PEye in-house claim you may be lucky and still have the option to defend? If yes, hit 'Start Defence' and bung in your version of the Template Defence, sharpish! You are in a race.

Sorry I am just sorting my children for bed so can post the info required once they are asleep.
I have enrolled to MCOL and can't see anything on there without putting in my claim number.
From what I read online, it said I couldn't use MCOL if my reference number didn't have MC in it, which is doesn't. Is this true?

Yes, of course, so put it in and get the template defence (with a generic para 3) in NOW. Literally NOW, tonight. Do not ask us any more questions.
You are in a race with a CCJ at stake!

With an issue date of 08/04/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 13/04/26 and before or on 27/04/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 11/05/26
As stated above your deadline was yesterday - did you manage to submit the defence?

Did you manage to defend in time?
I will send you a pm

Sorry I've been ill so I've only just seen all of these messages.
I was trying to log into money claim.gov with the claim number and password from my claim form, but it keeps telling me one of them is incorrect? But I'm entering them in as they are? I tried doing that the night I made this thread. What can I do about this?

Login to your government gateway account first, then the money claim section
Ensure that you put in the correct characters , because l i I 1 o 0 etc can look similar, and its case sensitive, so capitals and normal letters

It does an I in it, I assumed it's a capital i? What else could it be? Could it be lower case L? I'll give it a try. Thank you
I did log into my gateway first then into money claim but still having the same issue.
