Sorry but as somebody that has never had to do anything like this before, I have no idea. When searching the forum, lots of threads come up, many of which have pages upon pages of comments. I appreciate your help so far but there isn't a need to be abrupt about it.

I've already been avoiding it as I have no idea what I'm doing. I also have a job and children to look after. Sitting down and reading pages of comments isn't something I have time for.

Sadly I think you'll now be too late and have likely got yourself a CCJ, but all you needed to do was Google 'defence statement of truth' which I've done for you:

I believe that the facts stated in this defence are true. I understand that proceedings for contempt of court may be brought against anyone who makes, or causes to be made, a false statement in a document verified by a statement of truth without an honest belief in its truth.

Hi,

I followed the steps recommended back in May and sent my defence off for a couple of hospital parking fines (did have a previous post but thought I'd make another rather than digging up an old post)

Once I sent off my defence, I heard nothing. No letters from anybody. Assumed all had been sorted. Until today I've received a letter saying I didnt reply to the claim form and now have a £1048 judgment against me :(

Tried calling the court but I am 51 in the queue.

What has happened? I absolutely cannot pay this judgment off, I am carer to my disabled son so money is tight. I have been trying to fix my credit rating for years and just as things were getting better, this lands on my door step.

I was very ill when I got these parking tickets (from a hospital car park!) I dont know what to do.

Any advice?

Firstly, how did you send your defence? The online form, email or post?

Email. It wouldn't let me log into online service so I was advised to send an email

If that email went to claim responses and If you received the auto response email back from the CNBC in Northampton, send an email complaint about it to claim progression, attaching a copy of the defence and a copy of the auto response, mark it as URGENT, UNPROCESSED DOCUMENTS and add the claim reference number, and copy in HMCTS as well, to obtain a set aside if it's their fault

Yes I sent it to claim responses and I also have the auto response from them.

Is it the email address the same for claim progression? Or a different one to claim response?

Also where can I find the email address for HMCTS to copy them in?

Post 1 in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum has all the CNBC email addresses, so claim progression this time, not claim response

Google HMCTS

No point in phoning the CNBC in Northampton, they will tell you to fill more forms in and pay £321 for a set aside

( which is what I suspect that you will have to do, probably due to a late email submission. )

Right, I've got the claim progression email, but struggling to find one for HMCTS email? Only one I can find is data.access @ justice. Gov . Uk

Does that sound right?

Don't think that's right. There doesn't appear to be an email for HMCTS complaints seems you have to use their online complaints form
