How can I watch live TV on a computer
I have just got a new wide-screen computer monitor and thought about maybe being able to watch TV on a side window, while doing something else.
I have tried with YouTube and it works but only in the very small 'normal' YT window on screen. When I click to make this large, the whole monitor is shown, even when I have two 'windows' side by side.
Something similar with iPlayer .. I can manage with what is shown
However, with TalkTV, the window opens but when I click on the play button nothing happens. I can not even listen to it.
GBNews . As above, unable to watch live, BUT I can use their listen button, which works.
Do I need some other program to enable these to work properly.
thanks

Are you watching these through a web browser, such as Edge/Chrome/Firefox, or through specific apps? If it is in a browser, avoid the full-screen button because that normally takes over the whole monitor.

I am using Chrome

Open each is a separate browser window & then resize them to what you want.

BBC iPlayer has a "picture in picture" mode which can be sized. This was run from Chrome.
Other media players may have similar.

Don't know about them two but some services will pause unless they have the focus as they don't want you to skip watching the adverts. A separate standalone tab or a different browser (sometimes) sorts that.

I guess you're unaware that TalkTV and TalkTalk are two entirely separate companies. The OP makes no mention of using TalkTalk.
