We have a walk in power shower in the space a bath used to be

Our house is definitely a family house, although only 2 of us live there at the moment. We took the view that we should have what we wanted, rather than considering possible future purchasers. It would be easy to replace our shower tray with a bath, without affecting our lovely shower. Just do what you want!

With such a small room, if you convert it to a wet room, then you'll have to put something waterproof on your feet whenever you want to go to the loo. Because the floor may still be wet from the last shower.

A decent shower cubicle would fit into the space of a bath.

    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Also just to add, we've moved and gone from an enclosed shower to one that just has a single panel and you walk in at the end and it's definitely colder when getting a shower compared to an enclosure that presumably contains the steam and warmth.

We have a bath with rainhead overhead shower plus handheld, and a walk in with two panels of glass so there is a gap - no door means its really easy to clean. That walk in also has a rainhead and hand held shower.

The advantage of no door as well as the cleaning is that you don't get the cold blast when you open the shower door - the whole room is the same temperature. Your bathroom doesn't appear to be very big from the drawing so you'd probably have the same effect.

Wetrooms are harder to retro fit as you need the right contours for the drain, you could have a very large walk in shower tray with a screen. I would have rain head and hand held for ease of cleaning.

There are a number of ranges now for compact bathrooms

Wet rooms were a brief fad and didn't really catch on because of the spread of water and a lot to clean.

Once the big walk in showers came in almost immediately some people took to those and they do look good. It's essentially the same idea but enclosed. And easier to convert so won't affect reselling

OP - It is probably not a bad idea to measure your current mains water flow rate, as it varies a lot from area to area.

Just see how long it takes to fill a container of known size. Try it at a couple of different taps.

Was just coming to say this, about the water getting everywhere. I'm not a fan.

Also not a big fan of the rain head showers. Will you be buying one with the 2nd shower head attached?

Do you always wet yourr hair? Does everyone using it wet their hair?

But it's your bathroom, I was just raising my pet hates, and everyone is different.

I removed a bath, in favour of a large shower cubicle, as I always stub my toes getting in and out of baths, and never use them for baths.

There is just something about wet rooms that makes me feel uncomfortable, thankfully my Husband has said I can have what I want.

I have really thick hair so no I don't wet my hair every shower, so we will be buying one with a separate shower head.

Wet rooms make me think of "care settings" and needing to be assisted when washing - it maybe an entirely incorrect stereotype, but that's the image that comes most immediately to mind when I think of them.
