MSE News: Lidl shopper? You now need to earn points to get 'freebies' and money-off coupons

I contacted them via the online help page, but I'm still waiting for them to get back to me.
EDIT: I've received the following response, which has been zero help:
Here are a few steps to try:
- Format: Try entering your mobile number both with and without the leading zero.
- Connection: Switch between Wifi and mobile data to see if one works better.
- Refresh: Restart your device and try using a different web browser (e.g., switching from Edge to Chrome).
- Settings: Disable any active VPNs or proxy services.
If this doesn’t help we recommend contacting your network provider. Ask them to check for limitations with your service. International SMS, commercial messages, or alias-based texts. You should also check if your phone's spam filter is accidentally blocking the number.
I hope this helps

On balance, the "improved" scheme isn't as generous as before.😓
I used to shop "Little & often" - or should that be "Lidl & often" there ?!!!
This was because you got a digital scratch card with every transaction - which usually revealed a voucher.
The scratch card has now been scrapped (wonder if they'll bring back the "Bakery spin" ??)
Regarding the points scheme, does anybody know if there's any expiry date on them, because it wasn't clear ?
[I think TESCO Clubcard points expire in 2 years].

Points are valid for 2 years from date of shop, the dates for each are shown in the app - click points icon top right, three dots top right, History.

Not once did a scratch card give me a discount on something I buy

I’m really sorry but I laughed like a daft thing at this 😅

Another coupon popped into my app yesterday - £5 off a £40 spend. I also have a 300 points from a £30 spend coupon that covers the same time frame. I'm wondering if it is possible to coupon stack? I'd be happy with the equivalent of an £8 incentive for a £40 shop.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
I also have the £5 off £40 spend - which arrived soon after I had done my weekly shop and expires before my next one! I don't have enough storage space to stock up on tins etc, and I really need to defrost the freezer, so I'm not spending it on freezer stuff either. I'll have to pass on this one

They werent so generous with me, my coupon is £5 off a £50 spend. Not going to happen.
It annoys me you only have a week to spend coupons. Ive only got 4 days left to spend it and I don't actually need to go shopping this week. So i miss out on making savings.
It's all designed to get you in the shop.
I've noticed lately that at least 50% of there coupons for you are all items I don't buy. Yet its supposed to be tailored to my shopping habits. Hardly.

Don't like it and shall not even bother checking the Thursday weekly coupons for a few months as the 2 weeks before they really pressed on with it, the coupons were awful
