A puncture now equals a breakdown !

That would be okay if I was at home, Not if I was on holiday at the north coast of Scotland.
Just done a check at Tyre Spot which is 3 miles from home. They did have 2 makes that would fit, but not the ones fitted to the car. I suppose in an emergency it would have to do.0 -
I have had 3 Nissan Xtrails in a row, including my current one which was new in 2023. The other 2 were second hand.
They were all serviced by a Nissan dealer and all had breakdown included.0 -
Not sure what point you are making? Do you wish that your car was supplied with a spare? Was it an option that you decided not to take or not present on a used vehicle?

Some Porsches (at least in the past) had different sized wheels front and back. So two spare wheels needed.

Maybe I've been lucky but in over 30 years of driving I've only one had one blowout and that was my own fault. As a result I'm happy to go without a spare tyre and take the risk even if it might mean some inconvenience being recovered.
It also encourages me to regularly check tyre pressures, tread and look out for bulges and other damage on the tyre sidewall. This can help me identify tyre problems before they cause a blowout.

Believe It or not there are plenty of tyre companies / fitters in the North of Scotland including Orkney , Shetland, and the Hebrides.
24 hour service from several.
The North of Scotland is not the remote wilderness many imagine.

Yes, I wish my car came with a spare. Can't remember if it was an option at time of purchase.

I have been there twice. The places I was at seemed quite remote to me.

My Porsche had different size wheels front & back & so does my Mercedes, in both cases they come with one space saver spare wheel that fits both the front & back.

Probably not.
Could have been the slightest of individuals using the pneumatic wrench.
