Ok, so today is day one of updating every day in October. The month where I am hibernating and enjoying my mortgage (aka spending less!).
Hygienist appointment today. I thought I had booked in for a specific type of cleaning that would cost me £20, but apparently I wasn’t booked in for that. I definitely should have been, because I distinctly remember asking for it when I booked two weeks ago! But on the plus side, I am £0 out of pocket because one standard cleaning a year is covered under the dental surgery’s subscription plan.
I did, however, spend £1.98 to download two of the new Taylor Swift songs, and £14 at Tesco on some interdental brushes as requested by the hygienist, and some snacks to take to a cheese and wine evening I’m going to.
Secondary challenge this month: The Great Drinks Cupboard Clear-Out
I struggle to sleep and a colleague recommended Pukka Night Time tea to me. I bought some ages ago, but I don’t like it and it doesn’t do anything for me. I much prefer chamomile. My secondary challenge this month is to use them all.
I’m having a cup now, so teabags remaining: 9.
I should probably also try and use up hot chocolate sachets left over from an advent calendar last year. I’ve got various other teas I’ve bought on a whim and never finished, but they can wait because I can only drink so much in a month!

They are! I don’t want to waste them though and I don’t know anyone else who will want them, so I’ll just have to power through 😭

I obviously have a guilty conscience, as when I saw The Great Drinks Cupboard Clear-Out, I definitely thought it would be alcohol 🤣

NSD today!
Off to a wine and cheese evening, armed with the snacks I bought yesterday 🍷 🧀
Progress on the Great Drinks Cupboard Clear-Out:
I had a hot chocolate sachet this afternoon. Today’s flavour was salted caramel. 5/10. I love salted caramel but I don’t think this is nice hot chocolate, which is unfortunate as there are 14 sachets of it left, albeit different flavours.

NOT a NSD today as I had to buy some milk and a few other bits and bobs. £10.85.
Didn’t really do a lot today except enjoy my mortgage. Did the washing up, cleaned the bathroom a bit. Forced down a cup of tea so the teabag total is decreasing.
