I think I'll be fine without a landline. What I'm trying to work out is:

Is the plusnet speed better than the talktalk speed (it seems to be) and

Will my openreach exchange accomodate the new speeds from plusnet?

You'll get around double the speed and as it's full fibre and not partial fibre (that is FTTP and not FTTC) if you wanted, the exchange can accommodate up to the 900Mbps Plusnet service.

Edit: obviously, whether you notice the speed or not depends on your (and the households) usage. If you stream UHD movies it wont do any harm and it is cheaper than your slower TalkTalk deal.

You should be able to upgrade direct via TalkTalk too - just click on existing customer and take it from there.
