Lebara Data Munching

You mention in your OP that you used 200 megabytes in three hours playing Sudoku online.
That's not an excessive amount for a web page nowadays.
Where were you seeing the adverts?

My thoughts exactly.

As Lebara is a separate company to Vodafone and would not advertise for them despite using their network I think you can safely say it's nothing to do with Lebara

Hi Windlesham.
Do you know how to take screenshots? Worth doing and placing on here for folk to see? There's summat amiss.

Dear all, thanks for the comments yes all sorted now. Some spurious downloads in the middle of the night and VOD became the Google homepage ands kept cropping up. This stopped after a couple of weeks. On a trip away from home for 24 hours only used 190Meg using the phone for stock market data, FB,SuDoku etc. So delighted with the £1.80 a month cost, courtesy of MSE.

I have a similar problem. I have never really used that much data, around 6 years ago I had a plan with 2GB and set a notification on m phone to tell me when I used 2GB, the last 2 contracts had more data included but I never figured out how to remove the 2gb warning which i only saw once a year, if at all.
so last month I was shoping for sims, saw the 3GB Lebarra deal and went for it seeing as I rarely go over 2GB. I've now ran out of data, contract started on the 21st April, it tells me i've used 3095MB to be precise on the usage spreadsheet which you can download
Just looked at my phone and it's reporting only 1.2GB for May, and If I check the spreadsheet from Lebarra for those dates they seem to think I used 2048MG, which is just over 2GB
So there is a discrepancy…
I think I'll just get the 5GB plan which is only 5pence a month more if you get the MSE deal, should have just got that to begin with really
on the Lebarra App I can see a way to change plan to the 5GB but it's full price with no 6 month introductory offer, is there an option to put in the MSE discount code if there is one, or am I going to have to order a new 5GB SIM and then port my number accross to the new one?
EDIT;
so I think I have figured it out:Purchased a 2GB data bolt on for £3 to keep me going for the next few days
ordered a £1 1p mobile sim with £10 free credit
the above sim card is so I can port my number out of Lebarra temporarily
buy the MSE 5GB Lebarra plan , and then port my number back in
the MSE lebarra deal says it ends on tuesday 12th, I'm sure it said something similar 3 weeks ago when I first signed up, does it just keep being renewed every week..?0 -
Been with Lebara for a couple of months now and not had any excessive data, forgot I turned my WIFI off to use the phone
as a hotspot in the car and it's used 60MB over the past 4 days. That will be the weather updating a couple of times a day
and checking emails.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I don't really have a huge issue with Lebara. However I'm always amazed at the absolutely brilliant call and data quality I get in various Spanish locations over the years....espec the internet speed.
