I tried moving my Trading 212 ISA to a firm that told me Trading 212 only currently accept paper applications to transfer out, a wet signature. This firm was having issues with registration, so I went to open an ISA with Aldermore. Trading 212 was there on the list, but at the end of the application process it instructs ot must be a paper transfer so it provides a form to print out (the information is there if you can print it there and then, in my case I had to print a blank form) Anyhow Aldermkre let me email it across and the process didn't take too long. Im fact I recall when Trading 212 got me to sign online consent - the funds were with Aldermkre on the same day

I think the bottom option (on the list of companies) was 'my provider is not listed' (or something similar). Clicking that opened up the paper version to print off and post.

I am transferring from T212 to HSBC (which is my main bank). Similarly, when I gave consent to T212 they confirmed it had been sent 20 mins later, which I was impressed with. However, HSBC still haven't applied it to my ISA 9 days later!

That must be extremely frustrating. I hope it comes through soon for you. I think it has been to complete by 15 working days..

Just checked my notes. I was able to do an electronic transfer from T212 to Monument. Then a bonus offer was offered by Chip but at the time Chip didn't accept transfers from Monument (they do now) so I had to transfer from Monument to Paragon and then Paragon to Chip.

  • Hi there - I transferred my T212 cash ISA to Nationwide only last week, with no problem whatsoever. I was unable to do it online, as T212 do not appear on their list, however when I phoned them they advised that T212 ARE on their list, but it's only visible/possible in branch. I attended my Nationwide branch and it was done very quickly. The money has now been transferred to Nationwide and my T212 account is now closed. Easy peasy!

  • Agreed, having the same problems, seems evey bank that has a decent fixed rate doesn't work with them electronically. Extremely frustrating. Tandem doesn't accept either BTW

  • I've just opened a Paragon ISA based on this comment and ChatGPT's indication that a Trading 212 Cash ISA can be electronically transferred to them. All steps as you apply for the ISA indicate that they have the facility, until you open the ISA then this pops up "As you are transferring an ISA from the provider(s) listed below, who cannot accept electronic transfers, you will need to print, sign and post the ISA transfer form below to:" Rather annoying :)

  • I was trying to transfer out of my trading 212 - to Cynergy (which was a top pick). Like others I hit the issue with them not being on the automated list. I'd found the paper form but there was no 'other' option on Cynergy system. I emailed customer support and got the response below.

Not subscribing to the electronic system seem like behaviour by Trading 212 to make accounst 'sticky'. Given that a lot of the point of the MSE top isa list is to move money round to keep the best deal I do think this needs flagging on the Trading 212 entry - as essentially it tops the list because it is a great short term deal but your calculus may change if its harder to move out of

"Thank you for your message and we thank you for your patience while we were looking into matters.

Please note we are only able to accept Cash ISA transfers into our Online ISA from ISA providers that subscribe to the BACS Electronic ISA Transfer Services. This is to ensure our ISA transfers can be managed and transferred into your new account as quickly as possible for you.

We can confirm Trading 212 is not one of the providers who feature on our list as such, they must not subscribe to this service.

We are sorry we are unable to assist with your ISA transfer on this occasion.

    Kind regards,

    Cynergy Bank"
