2026/2027 transferring a cash ISA from Trading 212 to another provider
Hi all. I'm looking for a cash ISA provider that will accept transfers of an existing ISA from Trading 212. I tried Virgin Money, but their list of providers that they'll accept transfers from doesn't include T212. Someone recommended Principality Building Society; I've spoken to them, and they confirm that they can't do an electronic transfer from T212 because of the way T212's ISAs are set up, but that they can can do a manual transfer (using a paper form). I'm looking to see if anyone knows of other Cash ISA providers that also accept T212 transfers, so I can compare interest rates.

Are you sure Virgin Money can't accept transfers from Trading 212? I'm in the process of transferring from Interactive Investor to Virgin. They couldn't do an electronic transfer, but have accepted a paper application.

I have requested that your query be moved over to the ISAs forum.
I transferred a cash ISA last year from T212 to either Monument or Chip or Paragon (or I think it was a combination of the 3), I'll have to look back and check! All were electronic transfers, I've never had to do a manual one.

thanks for the info. I went onto Virgin Money's website. I had to go as far as opening the cash ISA with Virgin before I could see the list of companies they accept transfers from, and Trading 212 wasn't in the list. Where did you access the paper application, was it via their website?

thank you, whichever company I transfer to I'd prefer to do it electronically if possible

Check out Money Facts for the most up to date information on cash ISAs (and other accounts).
Most banks have a list of ISAs that they allow to be electronically transferred. I've just checked Monument's and they don't accept transfers from T212. Neither do Chip. Probably why I had to transfer from T212 to Paragon and then from Paragon to Monument.
I would never use T212 again as very few banks seem to accept electronic transfers from them.

thanks for the info. It would be useful if the section in the MSE website which recommends T212 also included a note about this issue. Aside from this issue with moving my existing T212 ISA to another provider, it's also made me careful about which provider I use for this year's new cash ISA. I was considering using Prosper but I couldn't see that one on the Virgin Money list either, so I'm wary about which provider to use for this tax year's new cash ISA because I don't want to have the same issue with that one in the future if I want to transfer from one provider to another.

I opened an isa with monument yesterday and tried transferring from T212 was told can’t. I’ve asked Monument to close the ISA.

Leeds BS have advised they will transfer using a paper form.
I’ve had the same issue transferring from Tembo to Paragon - I’ve had to complete paper form & post it. Seems ludicrous online banks managed via apps can’t transfer to other banks.

Yeah, I had to do my transfer last year from T212 to Paragon and then from Paragon to Monument.
