why dont they have it on longer hours on days like this,being in negative pricing with excess electric on the network

even as i type this 3.30am national grid live demand 22.3 generation 28.4 transfer 6.1GW's

Totally agree. EDF FreePhase for example is free or nearly free all day except 4-7.

Do you know whether EOns PowerSwitch is “another energy scheme that’s part of the NESO Demand Flexibility Service”?
I got an email from Uswitch about switching to their scheme and I’ve switched between others like Octopus and British Gas’ schemes in the past and only been with Eon this spring so not sure.

@northern star007 I only got 1p from the last power Down so I don’t think it will be as beneficial as the Power Up sessions. I’m on Smart Saver tariff where you get reduced rates all day except 4-7pm where it’s expensive so I don’t use much at those times anyway.

@50diddy50 I believe Power Ups or Downs are part of NESO scheme as I had to withdraw from the Uswitch Reduce&Earn scheme to qualify.
