    Similar here but all 2hr slots. I'm assuming bcoz of the sunny weather we might have benefitted more than usual lately.

    wonder how they decide '1% over your normal use' is arrived at? If I used a lot on yesterday's power up for instance, does that become the the new normal, and do I need 1% more than that? If so and I charge my car thinking it's free it's going to be a shock when I'm charged @peak rate

    I don’t know for certain but as an example for power ups from 1-3pm Sat. 11/4/26 0.50 kWh was deducted. Sat. 18/4/26 0.50 kWh was also deducted.

    The above suggests the “normal” is not affected by what you use in previous power ups.

    @Spoonie_Turtle

    I can only find the following in the t&cs

    “Your target is calculated based on your usual consumption over the previous 60 comparable days”

    Eon have already deducted £14.07 from my balance owing for 17 Power Up events in April. Definitely more profitable than comparable Octopus sessions that I used to do.

    With lighter winds and too much cloud we haven’t had any power ups since Sunday. It should improve at the weekend.

    Just as a matter of interest on Sunday I managed to get paid to use 34.54kwh of Electricity.

    On eons smart saver v20 tariff I was charged £6.46.
    Eons power up reduced that by £2.95

    Uswitch Power Hours est. to also pay me. £6.67

    Total expected profit. £3.16 + 34.54kwh free

    Just curious - are you on a smart tariff or standard variable rate? I'm wondering if that affects who gets picked for these!

    Definitely worth doing if you can time it right. I'd suggest putting the washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer all on during that window if you've got loads ready to go. Just make sure you actually hit that 1% target though - might be worth checking what your typical usage is for those weekend morning hours first so you know what you're aiming for!

    Yes it’s a smart tariff with 3 different rates: 16.64p kWh except 37.4p kWh 4-7pm, 12.53pkwh 2-5am

    I don’t worry about the target just do as you say shift what I can to a power up slot. I’ve saved £19.16 in the last month alone
