Had a lovely weekend in London. I did a photography course which was amazing, the tutor was great. I need to save up for a proper camera. I went to Leigh on Sea on Saturday with my friend. We had a lovely time and it was lovely to spend time with him. He got quite tired at the end of the day but I think he had a good time too.

I got a free slow cooker off my sister today. I'm going to use it to make baked potatoes. I really love them and they are a fairly cheap and nutritious thing to eat but I tend to like to eat straight away when I get home from work. Need to wash up and put a wash on. Ideally I will vacuum as well.

I'd like to go to the cinema soon. I'm going to look and see what's on. I'm away next weekend at my mum's which will be lovely.

I thought you bought a new camera last year?

I bought a point and shoot camera which I sold for not much less than I'd paid for it. I'd ideally like a mirrorless camera so I can adjust shutter speed etc.

The debt is going down and I'm making month payments towards my loan. I know the advice on here is always not to pay credit cards off with a loan but it seems to be working well as I've closed the credit cards and so I'm not able to spend on them. I'm not able to spend on the loan as I pay it off as I was with the credit cards so this has been positive. The loan is with Hastings and they don't seem to have an app so it's not all that easy to see what I still owe.

The other debt is catalogue credit which I opened in a moment of weakness. It's very tempting to use as clothes are my weakest point. Luckily I managed to return a piece of furniture I bought and got a refund. Now just to be really strong and pay it off and close it.

I'm at my mum's and having a lovely relaxing time. I've had a bacon sandwich for breakfast and now drinking a second cup of coffee. The trains were a bit messed up due to a bridge strike but I claimed delay repay for yesterday and Sunday when I travelled back from London so hopefully I should see some money back.

Not sure what I'm going to do this weekend. I have my knitting and a book. Everyone else is probably going on the water later but I may not because it will be super busy. I wouldn't mind a walk later.

Finished all my chores at home so my flat is looking lovely. I have been planning the food for the rest of the month. I have £75 left in the food pot and quite a bit of food in so I should be ok.

A lovely weekend except I was very tired and I'm not sure why. It was nice to come back to a clean house yesterday. I need to do a wash tomorrow. I've done the washing up and taken the food bin out this evening.

Work was good today. I had spaghetti hoops on toast for dinner when I got home which was nice too. Not much to report really. I'm on lates for two weeks. I'll probably have a quiet weekend although I may meet a friend for a picnic.

Also, reading back, you had £2850 of debt in April. You said you paid back what you borrowed when you had the leak, so I'm not sure where the £6591 loan has come from?

Having a good week on lates. Debated going to the gym this morning but feeling lazy. It's knitting group this evening but I'm not going as I'd get there late. I'll wash up before work so I come home to a clean house.

Two and a half weeks until my leave which I'm looking forward to. Two quiet weekends although one of my favourite films, an indie film called Sometimes I think about Dying, should be on iplayer from Friday so I'll watch that this weekend.

Did a food shop last night. Spent the last of the food pot bar £2 but should hopefully be ok till payday. I'll get the receipt out in a minute and try and work out how I managed to spend £60! I also need to get something out of the freezer for dinner. I'm too scared to use the slow cooker, I want to try it out at the weekend when I'm home all day first. Just remembered that I meant to get ingredients for slow cooker veg curry. I'll run the freezer down first.

Enjoyed the eclipse last night. Should be a warm day today but I'll miss the worst of it as work is air conditioned. I've got a swim booked Saturday morning.

I'm off work with very bad sniffles and tiredness. I feel like my sinuses have been packed with cotton wool. Ouchies. Probably stress. Roll on payday. I've got a hairdressers appointment booked in next Friday. I've said I'll go back in on Monday. I need to rest up for that.

No money spent today. Our housing officer came round (they call them a neighbourhood officer or similar now). I complained about the messy bike sheds and he laughed a bit. The he went to sit on my neighbour's balcony for a while - I could hear them chatting out of the window. I think he was sitting there for quite a while. She has been phoning the housing association and the police complaining about drug dealing non stop. She said she once saw a car drive up and throw something to a balcony. I know I'm out all day but I never see cars coming and going or strange people in the hallways. I appreciate people hide it well but there's no way we have a drug problem here. She wants to mind her own business or move into private rental! I'm sorry but people have a right to have the odd joint in their own property (not me!). To be honest I think they have her down as a vexatious complainant. When I first met her she kept telling me people had taken her bike seat and she'd reported it to the police. I wouldn't mind but she has 3 tricycles in the bike sheds with flat tyres, one of which she found in the street and wheeled home. Our side is HA and the other side, I think, could be council. Certainly we are the nicer side. There's only one couple who may be using drugs occasionally, he used to be homeless briefly and now has a flat.

I need to sort the food cupboards out tomorrow and do a little menu planning. A nice restful activity.
