    Meetup.com it is.

I'm wiped out. There's a good chance I am taking next week off work. It's not weak to be ill despite my long held beliefs. I know from experience that when I get to feeling like this it doesn't go away. I feel bad for leaving them coping with the busy period but I have to look after myself.

I was going to go to London tomorrow but if I'm not well enough to go to work I'm probably not well enough to go to London. I shall take advantage of the nice weather to get my washing done. I've done two loads tonight! One more on bank holiday Monday I think plus my bedding, maybe in the middle of the week.

    I'm staying up late tonight.

I paid my mum back all the money I borrowed to pay the plumber. I feel really proud of myself. I know that paying people back on time is a minimum! Even so. Need to buy some soap as well. Then I've got a bit of money for coffee and food and no more material spends.

I did a Lidl shop this evening. £45 on meals for the week. It was carnage in there! The sudden heatwave had clearly played havoc with their careful supply chain. Or maybe it's always like that on a Friday at 5. Anyway I mainly bought picky bits.

London was good. I decided to go in the end. It was boiling hot. I collected some wool I had ordered but apart from that I didn't do much. Nice ride across town on the Lizzie line. My feet were killing me by the time I got home.

I'm feeling a lot better. Need to hop in the shower and then work on my friend's poetry. Apart from that I just need to do some house chores. I say house but I have a 5m x 4m studio flat.

Didn't get much poetry done but I did make a big start on tidying up my files. I hadn't realised what a state they were in. I have a Chromebook (it was only about £275) and my digital storage skills are in the dark ages. If it doesn't say "save as" I crumble. Now I'm home. I got a survey in the posts and earned a £5 voucher which I'm going to run to Tescos and spend on hair mousse as soon as they open. I've got some Italian bread in the bread maker and I need to vacuum and hang the washing out.

I was going to go to a culture meetup this afternoon but I have a blister the size of mars so may just stay at home. My bike is still at the station. Don't even ask about the rail replacement bus ride I had on the way back. Serves me right for deciding to get a different line.

I might also start doing Hama beads. They have special bio beads that are supposed to be more environmentally friendly.

I was going to go and get my bike this morning before it got hot but it's too late now. Kefir and coffee for breakfast. Very nice. I am starting to track my eating again as my weight has crept up a bit. I use my fitness pal. I'd love to track macros but I can't justify the cost.

I'm feeling a bit meh. I'm just watching some GMB. They're talking about keeping your pets safe in the heatwave. I mustn't laze around too long or it'll get hotter. They're saying you can stand dogs on a wet towel or pour water on them to cool them.down. I hope that's all correct.

Right. I'm going to go and get my bike and when do some sewing.

My blister is giving me hell and although the heat is beautiful in some ways it's quite wearing. Work was flat out all day but oddly satisfying in a funny kind of way. I'm going to do a bit this evening to get ahead for tomorrow as we are behind and chasing our tails.

Need to look at my money and work out where I am. I had a few spends in London and have lost track of exactly what I've got left to play with. Easy tea of salad bits and bobs out of the fridge. I need to wash up and maybe put a wash on if yesterday's wash is dry. And breathe.

It's still so hot. One week and one day and I'm on holiday. It can't come soon enough. I'm going to eat something and have a bath in a bit. I did an Asda food shop for the next week. It came in about £50 with delivery. I forgot to get milk though. I probably have enough to get through.

Batch cooked curry and rice for dinner. I am exhausted so maybe an early bed tonight. The art group was ok last night. I think i annoyed them by talking too much. They suggested I might like another art group that meets up. I'll research it today.

It's only 26 degrees in my flat but feels hotter.

It's too warm to do anything and I've got hayfever. I need to wash up and then I'd like to watch TV but I don't want to make the flat hot. I did overtime today which was ok. I got a lot done. I got some leftover sandwiches and a dessert which I've had for dinner.

I'm in a weird mood. I'm on holiday in a week. I need to buy additional hayfever medication as I won't be in an air-conditioned building all day. That's another £15 I don't have.

It's 27 degrees in my flat. They keep saying it's going to break but I really don't believe it. My friend in Scotland said it was about 15 degrees up there.

Off to the cafe early doors tomorrow for some poetry editing. I was supposed to meet a new friend for coffee later but they have gone silent so I'm guessing it's a no.
