Well done! You seem to have made a big mind-set change.

What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Stressful day at work yesterday and preparing for another one today. I've been looking around a bit for another job. I haven't been at my current place too long but I'm not 100% happy there.

I'm buying lunch today as a treat. I bought some wool yesterday and also paid my sister for my niece's birthday present which she'd bought for me as I don't use Amazon. Still within budget though.

Two more days to the weekend. Work today was OK and not too stressful. I had a salad bar treat lunch which was £3.50 and very nice. I came home and have been chilling listening to the radio. I finished knitting a pair of socks. Need to wind some wool for the next pair now. Maybe tomorrow. I was going to go to a new knitting group tomorrow but I'm having difficulty signing up so I may not go.

Ok, you know what we are going to say. Do you hsve sufficient in the treat budget for that? We are only a week into the month so you ideally want to have spent less than 25 per cent if your treat budget, and bear in mind any planned treats you have for the month

I have budgeted all my treats for the rest of the month and yesterday's lunch was in that treat budget. I don't have a proportional amount of the budget left but my view is that when it's gone, it's gone. It's still early days!

It's the weekend and I'm finally at my mum's. I got here yesterday after work and we had a lovely halloumi salad for dinner. I started knitting some socks (winding the wool anyway) and we watched quite a good thriller on Netflix. I had a bit of a disrupted sleep and just waiting for my mum to wake up now and knitting.

We're planning on going out in her little boat at lunchtime with a picnic. I'm hoping to swim off the beach. Then I need to do some work on my assignment. Tomorrow a new, light tender is being delivered so I have to help her sort out the old one and get the new one on its trolley. Then it's 2 hours of rail replacement bus back home. I feel very relaxed though.

Things are going ok. I got a supermarket delivery to see me through to payday yesterday. Need to do a couple of bulk cooks for the freezer. My sister and her boyfriend are coming over tonight and I'm cooking spaghetti bolognese. Hopefully there will be some sauce left as well.

I have the rest of the month planned out down to the last penny. I should be OK. It will be good to start saving a proper emergency fund though. I saved £50 when I got paid and I'm very pleased to say I haven't touched that. Next month I won't be able to save anything as I'm paying my mum back for the plumbing emergency but the next month I should be able to save.

I am going to a free poetry event on Thursday which I'm looking forward to. Then a quiet weekend. If it's not too cold I want to go for a swim at the outdoor pool then I have to write my assignment all weekend.
