Mobile camera for concert photography

Just realised I'm an idiot, I've got the X3 pro sat on the desk next to me, I use it as a remote control for Tidal and the soundbar and such. It was the previous one, a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite that the screen separated. I quite like these Chinese phones apparently :)

Ok for photography I don’t think you can beat an iPhone.

The venue can require the "offender" to leave and they may have a legal claim if the photographs or film are published. However they have no power to confiscate the equipment or force the deletion of the images.

I've never had the screen on my phones separate - is this a common issue with cheaper smartphones?

And does the OP ask audience members captured for their consent?
It's really irritating having someone filming something like this, not enjoying the event like you are watching it, in a detached manner through a screen - and getting in the way when doing it.
Filming (even professional filming) doesn't capture the essence of "being there". I've been to plays, and have then seen the same play and cast with an NT live show which is filmed. They're really different experiences. When you watch the film, the camera dictates where you look on the stage, when you watch it live, you can look at any part of the stage, the audience...

Lots of complaints about the amount of over-processing in the newer iPhones and other cameras perform better however for video they are still excellent.
Using third party apps, such as Halide, can mitigate Apple's photo processing issues.
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
Well off-topic, but since the OP hasn't returned since posting this thread….
Halide (and others) claim to undo the shoggling that Apple's AI does to your photos to make them "better".
Wouldn't just shooting in RAW mode do the same thing or is the limitation that RAW is only available on the Pro models? Does a RAW image need processing before it's ready to slap onto Insta?
Or are you always just fighting against tiny sensors, lenses and apertures?

😁 The a2 like was my first Xiaomi (in fact its knocking around in the draw somewhere) I like them as they offer good value I think

I'm sure there a few brands that can match or give apple a run for it's money

No, it's just random bad luck I suppose. I've always had "cheap" phones and besides the odd battery not lasting as long as when new I've never had an issue. Paying £700+ for what after all is just a mobile phone guarantees absolutely nothing.
