    I'm a writer. ;)

But until that vocation ;) makes me any significant money I also waitress, bartend and maitre de at at a local Italian restaurant. I was hired to "hostess" after going in for a singing audition :o but I just do whatever I think needs doing. I used to be a pub - restaurant manager so I just jump in wherever I'm needed.

(I do plenty of floor sweeping and table wiping an' all PaP!)

Plus I temp - and despite my restrictions on time, and insistence on being paid more than the going rate I'm never short of work.

And I'm an occasional Saturday Girl at my favourite hair salon in a quid pro quo deal which gets me free hairdos and they get well... Bossy old me bustling about! :o:D

I mostly smile at people when they come in, make tea, compliment people on their new dos and boss the juniors about a little bit. (What is it with teenagers and leaning nonchalantly against any adjacent vertical surface when all fricken hell is breaking loose and there's loads to do?!)

What I'd really like to do is work for a charity and feel like what is do for a living is worthwhile.

What I like about my present arrangement is that I have limited responsibilities and commitments. I don't need a car, and I don't need childcare. I see my hubby, son and daughter off in the morning and I'm home when they all get home at night. My schedule is as flexible as I need it to be which helps me with my family commitments.

I shouldn't moan about it, I'm pretty lucky.

    Love Jacks xxx :D
