    :D  Hey sweetie,

Well mostly, lately, I write long rambling amaretto fuelled posts on here! :o:D

I've got a novel in progress but it ebbs and flows when it wants to, and I'm writing a kind of "Sort your Life Out" book as well. (working title "What would Madonna do?" :p )

I have a publisher interested in the latter but ever since they were all enthusiastic about it I've been a bit stuck - so there's no imminent need to look out for life size cardboard cut-outs of me in Waterstones just yet.:D

That sounds really funny, I would definitely buy that!

I write kids books mostly, although also write poetry/lyrics too (god that sounds naff :o). I've got 2 kids books on the go, and a childrens school play type thing, but I never seem to get round to finishing anything.

I don't think JK Rowling is shaking in her boots.....:D

Ahhh she's got too much money now so she's gone off the boil...just in time for a new author (You!) to fill her shoes (/boots :D )

The finishing of things is definitely an area for improvement for me too! :o

And don't cringe about the poetry / lyrics! My daughter writes them too and it makes me SO proud. My creativity doesn't come out in that way - although I can often supply a rhyme or synonym when she's stuck - so I really admire people who can do that.

Hahaha, if skint-ness = good writing, I am definitely on to a winner! :)

  • I'm working in a collections department for a local(ish) building society so not very interesting compared to a lot of you! I only started in September so I'm still on probation at the moment & pay not much but should go up in March :D

I'm really enjoying my job and the people I work with are lovely but keep getting told that I'm too nice! I enjoy helping people though, to work out arrangements to keep a roof above their head.

Keep it up everyone, I love being nosey & finding out what you all do:beer:
