Good evening, I'm just back home after a busy day of lambing. I love this time of year as I'm at my happiest.
My list for today
Make a start on the table of data that I need to include in my next report for uniSpend an hour on uni notesLaundry x 1 loadLoad DW and switch it onOrganise work bag for tomorrowGet an early night, as back to lambing tomorrow

Hope Pops condition stabilises Roundtuit.
I was a bit snuffly during the night so, determined not to have caught Mr N's cold, I had half a hay fever tablet last night and half this morning. I suppose it is getting peak season for me, I'm usually ok during actual summer.
Had a lovely swim, long-sleeved cossie with mitts and socks - it was sunny but at 9degrees still felt a little chilly. Lovely to see the first hatchlings - 5 tiny fluffy coots!
Went to Mr L on the way home. We do much of our shopping there, supplemented by Mr T as I park there for drumming - however Mr T is in the top 10 brands for plastic pollution and not meeting their 2025 targets, so I need to be more careful. However it does depend what you buy - our Mr L doesn't always have loose carrots for example while Mr T does.
One load washing done, hung out in the sun, dry and now put away.
Did a load of weeding especially around the rhubarb which will be ready in a week or so, put some home-made compost round it.
Checked out what stalls etc are displaying at the daffodil festival we're going to tomorrow.
Spent some time in conservatory chatting to our sick friend M's son as he dropped by.
Just done some drumming practice while slow cooker is on and Mr N is doing photography/computer stuff after I've shown him how to share folders and install Dr0pb0x on his computer.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.9 -
aww little lambs…
we have furry visitors in the garden … until Poppy The Cat sees them… saw one run across the rabbit run this afternoon - I don't feed 'muesli' style food so it's not that.
Washing dried. One more item added to the extensive ebay listings and one question answered.

Well done on the lambing MMM. I know a lot of sheep farmers dread it because it's so all-consuming but if you love it that's great. I used to love calving.
Made a big pile of coleslaw last night, used up a lettuce that was going past its best and not much else. Not one of my better days yesterday. Today should be a bit more productive.

Morning all xx
Thank you Narc0 and HB 😘😘
I've nearly caught up with my Saturdailies. Now I'm behind with the Sundailies 🤦♀️ It'll be reet. (I'm northern 😉)
WM is swishing the first load. I'm showered and dressed. Next job is to go to Mr C00p to pick up newspapers and milk for Pops and take them round.
Have a good day

Hi everyone,
I have finally accepted that I will only be able to fly at the weekends. Mondays exhaust me by the time I get home from the grandkiddies and can only manage dinner, and Tues to Friday, as I have condensed my hours to allow me to have Monday off I am again shattered. Midweek the only regular flying is the essential in the kitchen and S/S of the bathroom.
Yesterday I managed to get my first load of washing on the line this year and it smelled lovely as I was putting it away. I do have another load to go in but its a bit grey out at the moment so don't know whether it will get done today.
Then it was dog to the groomers and a GP call regarding the migraines. I actually felt I was listened to and she asked to see me in the surgery (although it wont be her) on Monday.
Has anyone else heard (sorry if I have missed it) that from April GP's will no longer be able to refer to hospitals but will have to email consultants for advice & guidance on how to treat! Surely this is going to cause more pressure on primary care services and will be a disaster for A&E services as it will become an anything and everything service they cant get from their GP.
I also spent some time crafting for my daughters birthday in a weeks time as she was out and it gave me an opportunity to get it done, followed by a quick walk in to town to get a few more bits to fill it alongside her presents.
Todays plan having woken up early for a weekend and treated myself to a soak in the bath is to nip to the shop to get some fruit and something for dinner. DD went to the butchers yesterday and got some bits so I will plan those in for this week.
I need to check the freezers and update the content list and will then work on proper flying.
I need to tackle some of the things that don't get done very often so I will go round the whole house on each task
- Wipe skirting boards
- Wipe window sills
- Wipe doors and frames
- Dust living rooms
- Hoover through the house
That should keep me going for a bit, once I have done a quick update on my spends yesterday.
Hope you all have a good day

I took the papers and milk to Pops and Babs. First thing Babs said to me? 'Are you putting your weight back on?' Who needs enemies? 🤣
Second load of washing is swishing. I've fed the birds and put out the recycling.
Kazmeister - I work Tuesday to Friday too. So any flying gets done on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.

Afternoon all,
Kaz, I haven’t worked for the past year. I am lucky if any flying gets done, so hats off to you. In fact I started this week well (usual, chez Fayolle) and gradually went downhill, flyingwise. On Friday, I had a lovely and very rare day out with a friend in the capital city. We went by train, so no stress. HB, while I remember and as we are in a similar area as far as trains are concerned, I always use the GWR app, which I find very efficient especially when something doesn’t go to plan. And no booking fee either. Ignore me if that isn’t helpful whatsoever.
Saturday morning and this morning have been gorgeus weatherwise and were spent at the allotment, catching up to stand still. Early potatoes are planted, purple sprouting, chard and the last leeks have been harvested. DD has been to the hospital on the other side of the world, so distraction has been the name of the game. She says she feels ok now, and has some antibiotics. However, this has led to a sleepless night, keeping an ear open for my phone.
The wm has just finished, hopefully the weather will hold for it to dry putside. I have run the vacuum cleaner around the downstairs, mainly because there is nothing like posting pressure to make me get a wiggle on.I hope those flyladies feeling unwell, and Pops, turn the corner soon x

today is turning into a bits and bobs kind of day but it's all progress
Visited my dad and undertook all the tasks he had saved up for me like the Lord of the Manor instructing the parlour maid - a variety of tasks like putting a new tube of fixodent in his bathroom glass, putting out fresh clothes for the week, doing his 7 day medication tubs, writing out which channel and channel number all his sporting events are, meter readings etc etc. he was v grumpy and ungrateful today - sigh - is being 98 an excuse for being a miserable old s*d? He'll be more cheerful next time we visit I hope. I've got a pair of new joggers for him that need the hem turned up. I'm no seamstress but this is not haute couture 🤦♀️
3 birthday cards written ready to post tomorrow and presents have been wrapped. I've also put together a parcel of magazines to send to a friend which I think they will be pleased to receive.
3 official forms signed, witnessed and ready to post. The new shoe rack has been assembled, not by me but lots of my energy expended in gentle but persistent nagging/encouraging.
