I now have a lovely clean hall, stairs and landing. I've hung a yan kee candle car air freshener behind the front door so it smells fresh when we go in and out.
I cleaned a few kitchen cupboard doors after a pomegranate squirted its juice and made the corner of tge kitchen look like a crime scene.
Yesterday's cake has been portioned up and frozen as an exercise in self control.
Sweet pea seedlings planted up but haven't moved outside yet.

Does anyone use train - line? I can't work out how to remove a ticket for a train that's been cancelled from my iphone and I can't get it refunded until I do. Just hoping someone knows how to do that.
Belovéd has become house proud in a way he never used to be. Basically whenever we have guests he now helps out by running the vacuum round every couple of days, which is a great help.
I'm gently keeping on top of things, running loads through the WM and line-drying it in this fab weather, I've potted up 150 seedlings and plugs which are now getting a bit of sun during the day and a bit of nurturing at night in the mini greenhouse.
My new-to-me volunteer has no admin experience. It's taken me three weeks to realise the full implications of that for the work I'm responsible for.

I think the train - line issue has been resolved. Fingers crossed.

Valli, you managed the quoting thing!
I've been thinking for a while that I'd like to take up running (well, a slow graceless jog) again; I haven't done it for probably about a year for one reason or another. And I managed it! I did a 3.75km route, loving being in the sun listening to bird song. Most of my running routes are on footpaths/bridleways as I'm rural, so it is great to see the spring countryside emerging. Felt very virtuous and as my post-run breakfast is boiled eggs on rice cakes and a large coffee, it really set me feeling good for the day.
That in turn filled me with almost-enthusiasm for flying.
- emptied DW and put away
- washed up a few messier pans, recycling stuff etc
- cleared surfaces, put gibble away
- emptied food waste caddy into food bin outside
- wiped surfaces and some appliances
- swept and mopped floor.
The afternoon brought garden flying to the fore; I did a lot of weeding. I'm very behind on seed planting, mainly because I hadn't bought lots of seeds at the end of last year, so I need to go seed shopping.
Did some drum practice.
Went to zumba. On the way home I delivered a birthday card to a gym friend as it is her birthday on Sunday and I forgot to give it to her when I saw her on Tuesday.
Finished and sewed up some gloves; decided they are too boring a colour for Mum so Mr N has adopted them as he likes 'muted'.
Tomorrow it should be lovely at the lake so I'm hoping another no-wetsuit swim.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Morning everyone
It's been a bit of a strange old week, 3 evening meetings at work which I am starting to hate but it's a necessary part of a good job that pays well.
We have a date for the installation of our wood-burning stove, 11th May. It's a big project because we are knocking out a big old fireplace and redecorating the living room. I am now questioning my decision to declutter and redecorate my office because I really need to get that done before we clear out the living room. I guess that's Easter weekend sorted.
It's going to be a busy weekend, volunteering this morning and tomorrow morning, we need to go and sort out final details for the fireplace, I am out for a friend's birthday tonight and going to parent's for Sunday lunch.
I have kept on top of the basics as far as flying is concerned. Not much will get done this weekend but that can't be helped.
Well done on the running Narco. I have been thinking the same but not put thoughts into action yet!

Afternoon all xx
What a week! Jibbering under the kitchen table looked like a viable option at times. I kid you not. But here I am - still standing.
Pops was taken into hospital by DB on Monday at the request of his GP. He was discharged yesterday evening after being pumped full of antibiotics and fluids. MRI showed no stone in the bile duct. So no operation required. He's very frail - mentally and physically. And we're all rather confused as to what is actually going on.
The car park that I use (rely on) at the hospital is currently closed while they fit solar panels. Parking is one of my 'things' and parking at the hospital is notorious without bringing a closed car park into the equation. So my anxiety kicked in. Big time. I was close to not being fit for purpose by Thursday. I hate anxiety!
My Saturdailies routine was kyboshed as I went to see Pops first thing..picking up a newspaper for him on my way. I'm taking a newspaper and milk tomorrow morning.
I have put out the rubbish and recycling, put new bin bags in the bins, fed the birds, and put out fresh tea towels. I plan to have a shower, wash my hair, shave and moisturise, this evening and then watch TV in my jammies.
The laundry can wait until tomorrow, but I do plan to WUDUPA this afternoon.
Love to all

Afternoon all. Not enough washing for a load today which really upsets me with this lovely weather! Only dailies done as far as housework goes but I had a walk with DH earlier this morning and then a bit later I took DD2's dog out for an hour which he thoroughly enjoyed and then fed him. He should have slept well after that. Sat in the garden for a bit after dinner then did a bit in the garden, just keeping on top of things. I woke up at 4 am and got up at 4.30 and made 4 dozen Easter biscuits so I'm pretty tired now. Not all for us, DD1 likes them so half are for her family. DD2 can't have them.
Hope everyone's OK x
