The best rate equivalent for 1 year fix cash ISA I've seen is HSBC if you have £20k to deposit - 4.0% plus £150 cashback.

That's equivalent to a smidge over 4.75% because the cashback is paid in September.

My SB option is 4.63% until May 2027.

Thank you, I'll have a look at HSBC offer.
You obviously got a better rate than I did with SB. I can't remember exactly when I opened mine last year, was for a transfer in from Zopa which took a while and no new money. I'm keeping all my options open for new money in new tax year.

Yes it is. You have to have a current account with HSBC. If you deposit £50K you get £250 cash back. For £100K plus it's £500. But they workout as 4.5%ish.

Lloyds EA ISA options are there (rubbish rates)… but I didn't notice any lock-in in the terms. DYOR.

Cashback is by 30th September, so money locked in on crap rates until then.

Under "when will I get my cash back" it tells you that you get your cash back by 30th September. Under the full T+Cs it says they will refuse cashback if they believe you abused the offer. I would suggest transferring in and transferring out shortly afterwards would be abuse, but obviously you can try it if you want.
