If you use an iPad or iPhone paste isn’t disabled in Safari or Chrome and the operating system will even autofill it for you.
Edit: Just checked and paste isn't disabled in Safari on a Mac either. If you have Messages syncing turned on it'll autofill it as well.

I believe that you can force an OTP on login by ticking the box to say that you are on a public or shared computer. It will not stop the bad guys getting in from another computer though.

Santander never asks me for an OTP on login on either my PC running Linux Mint and Firefox, or on my Chromebook. The same is true for my friend's PC running Chrome with Windows 11. You must have set up something on your computer that Santander does not like. You could try another browser. If that fails, you should be able to fix the problem with a clean installation of the operating system.

Yes, the key word here is unknown 'something'.
You could try another browser.
I did

I'd rather keep copying&pasting their damn OTPs.

Santander historically had an issue integrating all the different businesses they took over, and had very poor customer service reviews. A family member had a particularly difficult time getting access to an account with a modest amount in it, when their parent died.
Those times have gone though, they've done a lot of work to tidy it up, and they are much improved.
They've also been useful for some benefits, the 1-2-3 account was very good at the time, their zero credit card was great for using abroad. I've had at least one switch in bonus as an existing customer, and have just had a £100 amazon voucher for opening a new account.
They have a habit of tinkering with these perks however, and changing the rules, often reducing or removing the benefits.
They are my main account, and I use them as a hub for feeding my other bank accounts to pay regular savers, with very few problems.

I can echo this experience. Even after taking away my remaining 123 Lite, and no longer getting their current account switch offers, I am still getting more financial benefits from Santander than from any other provider. Just recently, there has been a bit of a cashback and Amazon voucher bonanza which was mainly aimed at new customers but for which existing customers could also qualify.

they are free but I would advise people to be careful I requested 70 Euros in Spain and the screen jumped straight to you will be charged 8.5% FX rate do you accept this? instead of saying do you want to be charged in GBP or local currency(Euro) the ATM is designed to trick you into paying the extra fee Always DECLINE the initial page and you wont be charged

Presumably the grasping ATM will do this with any GBP card not just Santander's?
Timely warning though,
do you recall the brand of machine? Hopefully not Santander.EDIT: This WAS a Santander machine? That's pisspoor.

I would probably be more inclined to go for Club Lloyds / Lloyds Premier or something like First Direct.
The only USP Santander really have is their Spanish/Global ATM access and non-everyday (non-free) current accounts; Their other products aren't that competitive and their desktop banking clunky.
Nationwide are good in theory but if their branch goes; you can't use a Post Office / shared bank branch for any deposits nor can you even deposit cheques via their app.

Nationwide do work with the post office
Santander also has the fee-free (if you don't activate it) Edge account with a saver up to £4k paying 6% interest which you can have 2 of
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
