Unable to login to the MCOL, but there is an option to send to an email, I’ll have to download the form on the MCOL outage page, fill in and then email before deadline.

If you add a header and footer to your 10 or 11 paragraph defence, including the signed and dated statement of truth as the footer, save as a pdf document you can attach it to an email and send it to the claimresponses email address at the CNBC in Northampton

Oh no … it's likely to go missing and must be signed & dated under a statement of truth as the footer.
Beware. People get CCJs this way.
Which email does this 'outage page' give?
Try MCOL again on Monday.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

OH NO.
That is not how to submit a defence. I don't even think any 'gsi' email addresses are still in use!

Ok I am trying to get in touch to gain access to my father’s gateway ID account. If I am unable to access the claim online, my only option is to do what Gr1pr stated.0 -
Then use the correct email addresses, they are all listed in the 1st post in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad
There is a screenshot or picture of every one of them and has been for a couple of years, so dont google them as you clearly get incorrect information
Use the claimresponses email as I mentioned earlier, after adding the changes and saving the defence as a pdf document ( publish it. )
But do try MCOL first

Ok so MCOL is out of the question, will have to do this via email. I have the correct email address.
I have added a header and footer.
Page 1 header includes: name of court, claim number, name of claimant, name of defendant, and a one line statement declaring that full amount is disputed.
Final page footer: Has the statement of truth, and declaring the facts stated are true. I also added the signature (print name of my father) and todays date. anything else I need to add here?

Sounds good to go, as long as its a pdf attachment, not a docx, not a picture, not a scan, not a copy and paste
Add the claim reference number to the email header and in the body of the email , plus the attachment
Check your email inbox and spam folders for their auto email response back

Thanks, just want to check one final thing, what should I name the attachment file, something like: N9B Defence and counter claim for specified amount. Is that ok?
