DCB Legal: no LBC and Claim Form but different address listed
Hey, I’m fighting a PCN on behalf of my father. He received multiple letters, but he did not receive a LBC. Now he has a claim form from Northampton.
The letter on the claim form has a different address compared to the previous letters issued by DCB legal. I also can’t find the LBC (even at the other address)
what to do from here, as I am past day 5, meaning I am supposed to respond. Do I still follow the guide?

You dont, your father does, wth you assisting him as his Personal Assistant
He can add the correct current details on MCOL
He should also email the info@ email address for DCB Legal with his correct details for the service of papers
Name the private parking company claimant involved and the issue date from the top right of the claim form
Post a redacted picture of the POC from the lower left of the claim form below after hiding the VRM details first

Ok he's added the correct details on the MCOL.
The private parking company on the claimant form is:Claimant: Secure parking solutions LTD
Issue date: 24th February 2026Redacted POC:
So I have done the MCOL online and started SAR. I think ideally this was meant to be done two days ago, but it should still be fine if I have only done it now.
Is there a template for what to write in the email?

Depends who he is emailing
He can email the correct address for the service of papers by writing a simple few lines, or google the wording and adapt it to suit ( one paragraph, possibly extracted from the LoC template response is sufficient . )
We Do not recommend a SAR to the DPO at the parking company, but there are templates online
I would not be sending a SAR until after his local civil court send him the court order
Remember, google search has the answers to basic topics
So its SPS LTD via DCB LEGAL, issue date 24th Feb

With an issue date of 24/02/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 01/03/26 and before or on 15/03/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 30/03/26

My apologies, I got confused. What I was trying to say is that I did the MCOL and did AOS (not SAR)
With the MCOL I wrote the claimant down as: SPS LTD, I didn’t mention DCBL. Do I have to go back and change this?

Now you are confusing me
All you had to do was login to MCOL via your government gateway account and complete the AOS online
Nothing else on there for now

"With the MCOL I wrote the claimant down as: SPS LTD, I didn’t mention DCBL. Do I have to go back and change this?"
What do you mean?
Where did you type that?
Obviously the Claimant isn't DCB Legal!
Your Dad must now defend the Claim which you will have already seen from reading post 2 of the NEWBIES FAQS thread, means putting in our Template Defence. It could not be simpler.

Yes you are right, I guess I've been all over the place and struggling to communicate properly. So my dad has logged into the MCOL via government gateway and has completed the AOS online, which was about 7 days after the issue date.

Yes, you're right. So my dad has done the MCOL and the AOS. Le_Kirk is also right about my defence deadline which is 30/03/2026, 4:00pm. So now I need to study the newbie thread for the defence template.

Now you have Dad back on track, good!
After defending you can both twiddle your thumbs apart from Dad filling in the online DQ form in the late Spring, then either you or he telling the Mediator 'no offer, goodbye' in the mandatory phone call. That's it!
