I did have wine already in, so I compromised and went to the shop for a bar of chocolate. Orange chocolate and red wine are fabulous together!

Window clean including sills today. I put bleach on the mouldy dots on the seals around bathroom window not expecting much to happen. Left it there whilst I had a bath and hey presto window surrounds look like new. Have done the two worst ones this morning.
DH is helping with housework and lifting things whilst I have a bad arm and I must be getting something right as he commented today on how nice the house looked. Having his help does mean that we can get more done. It's also stopped him being so bored in the gap between indoor and outdoor bowls. 🤣,, Win win.

Today's plan is getting out Hetty for a very thorough hoovering of all of downstairs, followed by very thorough mopping in the hope that the worst of the rain and mud is over for the year.
I might also scrub the downstairs bathroom (I might have new ducks coming and I use it as quarantine), or cordless hoover the upstairs. Probably not both as I also need to do a couple of hours work. If I do one small load of red washing I will have an empty washing basket!!

I obviously got c*cky having previously successfully reset the oven clock as today it made no sense at all. I swear it switches its screen options depending on its mood.
However very happy to see that the plant cuttings I made an effort to repot a few days ago, and put downstairs with a note telling neighbours to help themselves, have all been taken 😊

I solve the oven clock problem by turning it off at the mains when I'm not using it, so it's never right.
Haven't done anything about the pictures, but have done some cooking. I'd like to make some biscuits (want to trial Cornish Fairings) but not sure whether I should do that now or leave it till tomorrow.

Moved various things in the back room to accommodate potentially getting a free chair on Monday. Now have a million other tasks to do as a result. Sigh

Always the way sadly 😬 But you can do it!
We are pottering on with our OATs. We FINALLY found a suitable microwave in a charity shop and I took our old one to the tip on Saturday, and also dropped off a few glass bottles and jars, as well as a bag of clothes I'd been driving round in the boot for months. Very pleased!
Mr C has spent this evening shuffling furniture in the living room to move a couple of speakers - they were blocking my view from my favourite daytime sofa spot and had been annoying me for months. All sorted now and hoovered and dusted and tidied up. Living room feels nice and tidy now 😊
Also started sorting through a pile of magazines. Some being cut up and then into recycling, some in a pile for the charity shop.

I did Hetty, I did hoover upstairs (two nappy bags full of dog hair - gross!) and did a few hours of work to set myself up nicely for a busy 2 or 3 days. I did not mop. It's been torrential all day so seemed pointless. Will try again tomorrow.
My washing basket is empty! Quite the achievement with a dodgy washing machine and constant rain.
I've just realised a long weekend is coming so I'm getting far too excited about all the things I could achieve! I'm considering buying a multitool with some of the money I was gifted as I'm too scared of the drill and I could get loads of DIY OATs done. And it's really heavy and takes ages to charge. After the last disaster of paying someone to do the coving and having to rectify it myself I need to have more faith in my abilities to not do a totally awful job of things.
