the first two photos are of stems just lying in the garden after some cut the garden down

the others are off root pulled down the ground.

there are these bulb type purple buds coming out of the roots.

the stems found have a purple / pinks specks on them and it’s deep rooted and spread around the garden every where

it’s hard to tell from the photos, but the Japanese knotweed in the garden next to me doesn’t come up like that.

is there a picture with any leaves on?
Obviously, if you’re not sure of the best thing to do is get a specialist survey.

I think to be sure you probably do need to wait until leaves appear and/or get a specialist survey.
