Lloyds switch for up to £500, 24 February to 30 April 2026

Why wait 24 hours? With my Club Lloyds I pay my £2000 in each month and transfer it out within a minute to avoid the £5 fee.

That's how I met the criteria on my premier account before I downgraded for the last switching offer to open a new CL account. I use it as a hub for meeting the pay in requirements ony other current accounts, so there is a decent amount of money moving back and forth each month.
Downgrade to Classic once the incentive bonus is paid if you don't want to worry about any monthly fees

Does anyone see any problem in downgrading an existing Club Lloyds account to Classic so to be able to apply for a Premier account and benefit from this switching offer?
And once the incentive is paid, downgrade Premier to Classic and upgrade the old one back to Club? Would this work?

Yes, it should work. I also asked them if there's any minimum salary requirement and they said no.

Whilst you're allowed both a joint and a sole Club Lloyds a/cs, their online systems don't allow you to open a sole one if you already have a joint one.
You can open a sole one online if you first downgrade your joint one first.
Alternatively, it's been reported that you can open the sole one by phone whilst keeping the joint one.

Just checking I understand the point about "full calendar month" correctly…
If I open the account on March 5th, and my switch completes by March 14th, when do I need to have paid in the £5000 by? My interpretation is that I need to have done between 01/04 and 30/04? Is that correct?

Interesting that the previous offer in Jan/Feb excluded anyone switching from Halifax or BoS accounts but this one doesn't appear to do so
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.3 -
Does anyone know when they state ‘debt repayment’ for the debit card spend would paying credit card via debit card (not bank transfer) or service charges via allpay be excluded?

Once Lloyds spot this oversight, they might just decline all applications from anybody with an existing Halifax or BoS account.

Can I add, would paying Council tax be valid spend?
