Just as well that you had a different make of TV unless the box was attempting an upgrade in the background when connected initially to the TV :(

On a slight tangent - how do you just see the DTV channels through Freely?

I just purchased a Hisense TV, connected the aerial and run the channel search (found 100 channels) but I can't see them in any list. For example I could get ITV2 on my old set, but under Freely the only way I can get it is to sign onto IT X 🤦

I live in a rural area where the internet is sporadic at best so getting channels through the aerial is key (I know that will disappear eventually, but that's tomorrow's problem).

All itv broadcast channels are there in freely if you have an aerial connected but they are at another higher channel number, itv prefer to have the IP versions at lower channel numbers.

Which considering it's Freely and not Freeview makes perfect sense.

I think Freely and Freeview are both being received on this TV and causing confusion.

On my set up I choose Freeview, Freesat or Freely.

Maybe less confusion if aerial lead to TV removed.
