I think most of the freely IP services are HD (at the highest quality version available) some might only be 1280x720 but the BBC ones are full HD and look better quality than on Freeview and Freesat.

HD only needs 5-10Mbps so it’s likely that almost everyone with fixed broadband has a fast enough connection for it.

Been hard to obtain the Manhattan Aero Freely but manged to order one over weekend and its now on it's way to me.

Are the Channel 5 spin offs (eg 5 USA) really in HD via Freely ? I've tried a couple of the extra channels on the 5 app and they don't seem to be in HD - quality nowhere near the broadcast channel 5HD.

All of the secondary Ch5 channels are SD only I believe. Ch4 seems to be the same as Ch5 but all of the BBC & ITV secondaries seem to be HD.

That's not what "I'm saying", that's what it seems to be on a quick Google. I have no idea what the source was for the OP's post. It is notable that Freely themselves are very shy of listing their 35+ HD channels compared to 9 for Freeview (which actually appears to have 15).

Manhattan aero arrived this evening plugged it into my LG smart TV HDMi 1 and not showing HDMi 1 on the TVs Hub menu.

Previously today I had my Blu Ray into HDMi 1 and that showed on my TV Hub, what have not done right?

Anyone else using LG Tv?

Try different ports and different cables with nothing else plugged in. I'm presuming you have a green light on the box?

I put the Aero on my other TV a Samsung and used HDMi 1 and it showed on it's hub and allowed me to go through the Aero set up including updating and all as far as I could tell working ok from the Aero RC.

So return the Aero this morning to my main TV the LG as trying to use last night and it appears on the Hub which it did not last night. All I can assume is the update as done something as working now.

The Aero RC does not seem to control all as the Samsung TV and using the LG RC and Marantz AV RC when Aero one does not.
