And that, too.

I have no loyalty to octopus, happy to switch, just waiting for the dust to settle.

I wonder how long before others do the same. Longer term the answer surely hahas to be intelligent tariffs, and maybe bigger batteries, so that our solar power is used when it's needed.

I switched on 1st March, not a particularly good day to do so. Yesterday was better, 17kWh Export, 8 import.
I screwed up a couple of things. I forgot that tariff changes are not just instant, but backdated to midnight. I should have switched off my off-peak charge the day before. Also one of my automations was still enabled when Octopus took control of the system, so the two were fighting a little until I switched that off.
Currently exporting all surplus solar (only around 200W at this time of day), with battery set to not charge.

I haven't exported that much today but I guess it's location dependent.
Tbh, I'd think that the export price being lowered sill also be a short term thing. Until February 28th, I thought "Well this is the way the market is going anyway. It makes sense not to buy energy especially when gas is much cheaper now " and then Qatar stopped producing gas
So I'm cautiously optimistic for export prices in the medium term

If you are that optimistic do the lottery tonight, IMHO you have the Hope brothers Bob and NO

I did say I'm "cautiously" optimistic not necessarily very optimistic. As long as gas continues to set out energy prices, it also affects import and export rates tbh
Not sure what you mean by "Hope brothers Bob and NO"

OK , I think you have no hope of export prices going back up in the short/long term , edit … old folks like me remember Bob Hope
