Anyone on this forum the winner?

  • Here's a little poser…you know the symbols puzzle where the result gives you 2 sets of co-ordinates? Well, if you actually take away the negative number from the other number (the positive number on its own leads to The Tower of London) well can you guess where it leads to….The Royal Mint in Wales! How about that for a coincidence (or was it???)!!!

  • Reply to Comping_Rich, but if you need the answers to reach the final then you don't deserve the prize! If you're not smart enough to puzzle your way through the riddles then the enigmas are above your intelligence and so you shouldn't be entering. Are you the sort of person who uses a mobile phone in a pub quiz? If you don't and someone beats you to the first place by using their mobile to get the answers, is that acceptable? I for one don't think it is, and that would only be for a few pints, this is for a prize worth over £30,000 so no way should the actual answers have been given out (before the deadline), maybe a few hints (I'm not even sure they should be given out if I'm honest (see the reasoning above)) but that's all!

I've just received an email from the Mint congratulating me on finishing the quest successfully, but I wasn't the winner.

Me too. It would be good to see a name for the winner. I just say that to ensure that the competition was fair and above board. It's like doing a postal quiz and not knowing who the winner(s) was/were! Has anyone any idea?I've searched the website but cannot find out. If it isn't announced, I certainly won't be entering anything else from the Royal Mint.
