Wouldn't expect RS from Tembo😮 Can't recall any fintech platforms offering RSs. Unfortunately I'm not qualified, I'm an existing customer (I have ISA accounts with Tembo).

Tembo 8% RS set up and funded.

RE: Principality BS increasing the rates on fixed rate Regular Savers
Do you remember when that was ? I've held most of Principality's Regular Saver accounts since the end of 2020 and the rates on them all remained constant. I actually ending up closing bonds 29-32 early during 2023 because easy access rates were increasing at the time and ended up exceeding the rates of those RS accounts. I guess it's possible they could have increased them after I closed them and I wouldn't have known, but that would be pretty unusual.

The only organisation I can recall increasing rates of fixed accounts was Virgin for their branch regular savers
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?2 -
Tembo
Set up a Direct Debit for November, but can’t get the first payment in. Enabled open banking but still going around in circles with NatWest. Anyone else?

I made the first payment and then set up the DD after. Don't know if that made a difference, but it went smoothly.

Hi Kim,
I set mine up with Lloyds and it was instant, even though it was after 6pm the money went straight out of my Lloyds account to Tembo and I've had emails confirming that my direct debit has been set up for my subsequent payments, then next one being the 23rd November. Might be worth trying a different bank? I know many people were struggling with Natwest for a Regular Saver account recently xxx Good luck!

I had initially tried that, but gave up when I would authorise and then it came up with an error. Then found the Direct Debit menu. I’ll try again tomorrow perhaps. Set up with NatWest as I have the Reward account with only my credit card DD on it, so it’ll get me the reward for a year with no further effort required. (Previously used the Hanley RS for this which has matured.)

HSBC increased their Regular Saver rate for existing accounts a few years ago to match an increase in the rate offered on new accounts.

Does anyone know if I try another bank for this month’s Tembo depsit, will it undo the NatWest DD? Or are you allowed to link more than one account?
