It will be safe to do it on Monday.

Yes, but the coal-exporting ports of South Wales have long welcomed sailors from a variety of countries, both Christian and not. I think you can probably find communities in Cardiff, Barry, Swansea or Newport that celebrate Christmas or Theophany on perhaps three or four different dates. One Xmas RS account for each?

Principality
To be honest I think I'll be glad to get rid of Principality. They never send you a proper closing statement just a letter that states the final amount transferred to your nominated account, and all account details and transactions disappear as soon as an account is closed. I know you can print a transaction list before closure but it would be nice to be sent a statement showing all transactions and closing interest or the ability to create one online after closure. They do however post you a whole load of crap you don't want.
Sorry for the moan, I know a lot of people love Principality.

Advanced notice- P1 of this thread may not be updated on 1st September 2026 now (1 day only)
My conveyancer didn't get my LISA funds on time, therefore my property's exchange and completion dates have been pushed back to Tuesday 1st September.
As a result any updates to p1 that may be needed on Tuesday 1st September may take place on Wednesday 2nd September depending how I do for time
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and normal service should be maintained before and after that day.

Thanks. Interesting account, this. I note that one of the terms is:
Each month the account must receive one payment of £20-£2,000 to be eligible for the Conditional Bonus.
I wonder if that means only one payment per month is permitted, or whether it's possible to set up a standing order for the minimum £20, and then top up to a maximum of £2,000 in any given month by means of one or more additional payments.

I agree about the statements - they're one of the worst and you've reminded me that I still need to chase them for account statements from last tax year.
one workaround is often to let the RS mature into the EA account, print the transactions (incl interest) and then close the account… when the 6 month RS were renewing at good rates, this was less of an issue as the accounts never closed - but those days are over with Princpality.

Natwest digital
I've never added £1250 to my Natwest, didnt realise that this was a stipulation. Although with the rewards being devalued on October 1st I am wondering if Natwest is even worth keeping. I suppose the digital saver at 5.25% still has some value - at least its easy access if I ever needed some instant cash.

Principality Christmas
I have Principality Christmas maturing in October,November, December and January between myself and OH - Christmas is very extended in our household.
Possibly Principality will have a shiny new Christmas 2027 sometime in October …
