There was a regular saver mentioned upthread (previously missed) where you could return the form by email. I am a current member but out of postcode.

How do I go about opening the account? I cannot see it listed on the website or app

Earl Shilton BS Monthly Saver Online

Applied on Monday evening at 1908 hours as a new saver to ESBS. Was able to set up online access more or less immediately.

Received word this morning (13th) that there was an online message. This contained link to a letter with account details. Account opened within the 3 days promised on application. Deposited £500 using the supplied details this morning (CoP match using Santander).

Deposit not yet showing in online account. Hopefully tomorrow.

what a week it's been in RS land!

Opened Ecology RS, Newcastle RS, Manchester RS (the new ones), Earl Shilton RS and Beverley RS Issue 3. Also opened the new Spring Savings (aka Paragon Bank) 5% easy access account as an additional home for £5K awaiting allocation to RS's.

@Chaykin Building societies can maintain their cash assets simply by reducing their lending. What they offer or withdraw in terms of savings is essentially determined by their mortgage book.

I was unable to set up a standing order from First Direct due to the unusual account number (I know we can't state what it is here). After several failed attempts, I rang and they have set it up for me but unable to set a nickname so I'll have to remember which account it is for.

Coventry Building Society Sunny Day Saver (Issue 2)

Tomorrow (14th August) is the day when the "additional prize draw" takes place with five big prizes (£5000, £2500, 2 x £500 and £250). Accounts which have qualified for ALL of the 11 monthly prize draws (October 2025 to August 2026) by depositing at least £10 the previous calendar month (September 2025 to July 2026) will be entered in the Big One tomorrow.

I had no problems with setting up payee from FD to Earl Shilton. CoP was recognised and payment went through.
