More inclined to go for this ISA version on the basis that I don't have an ISA paying 4.5%, and if you make a mistake/need a withdrawal you still get over half of the rate and not less than a fifth of it. But again Beverley could have written their information better as it appears to me, unlike RS Issues 1 and 2, that it is possibly not an open ended account (as it mentions maturity on 31st March.)

Several days after receiving the letter with account details it would not pass COP from Lloyds. So carefully sent a test £50 Deposit, on checking the next day it was in my account.

This is a disagreement about language, which Beverley has used a bit loosely.
As long as you just withdraw in January and no other month, you remain eligible for the bonus to be paid in the December of the same year, 11 months later. It doesn't matter whether they call it 'next' or 'following', they mean the same thing in this context. Can't say any more!

if it makes you feel any better, it is not passing for me either (doesn't seem to like the roll number) - it's been well over a week since opening.
I have already paid a £50 test deposit (failed CoP), followed by a further £450 when I saw the initial deposit had been accepted…
I was hoping to setup a new payment for next month that passes CoP, but looks as though it is always going to fail… always remember Santander telling me years ago (during a block) that they would show internally to them as not matching CoP… but if it can't be avoided, then no point worrying about it.

The warning message you are seeing can be overridden, as we are not a clearing bank. I can confirm that any payments made using the above details will be received successfully.
I too have other RS with Dudley and they have all passed CoP - the above is probably the first time in a couple of years that I have sent any payment that didn't…. in other news, the passbook for this account arrived yesterday (with the two payments listed).

I have found with Dudley I have to add my middle name to get CoP to match, so it might be something like that where they are using a slightly different permutation of your name (e.g. initial, shortened, etc.)?

I don't have a middle name, so it definitely won't be that! 😃
I always use "Firstname Surname" for payments to me, though the Dudley welcome letter says to use "Mr Initial Surname" - neither works (or any combination) and it's the roll no / reference that is being highlighted by Santander… just tried First Direct out of interest, but that fails too - guess to be expected as they're all querying the same database / bank records.

I've found with Lloyds sometime I get cop fail in the app, but then works with same details in internet banking in a browser on a pc. Only happens where the reference is needed for cop.

I have a more unusual issue with Beverley.
Applied for the RS2 as an existing customer and the account showed online and was funded earlier this week. However, I haven't received any documentation/letters from them..
