Clearly it is not that they won't pay interest for two years - though that could be the time between interest payments at the bonus rate - but that a year of it will be at 1% since different people's welcome letters have said different things as regards to a withdrawal made in January. One would be a slam dunk complaint for the bonus interest, the other not so much. A year is a long time to potentially only receive 1%.
The end of the following year is currently December 2027, but as soon as we are in January 2027, that becomes December 2028.

I think that the problem is, either you, or they, or both, are confused about the T&Cs and are confusing the rest of us by putting stuff out there that hasn't actually been said or is written
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?2 -
Oh dear, Beverley is upsetting people.
Beverley BS RS issues 1 and 2. I opened issue 1 when it was available, initially funded it with a SO of £20/month and I am now adding the full £150. I also got issue 2 in that short window last week, and will fund it with the full £500. I view that I have two open-ended RS accounts, with rates above my funding minimum. If I feel the need to access the balance then I have two accounts to pick from each New Years Day.
Now, no-one here or on the Best Cash ISA thread seems to have mentioned Beverley's Regular Saver Cash ISA which remains open. Pay in between £20 and £2000 each month, 4.5% tax-free including bonus. No use to me or OH as we have filled ISA allowance this year. Yes, the terms are almost as complex as the taxable RS accounts.

That might be useful for someone who needs to build up the account over the tax year, but for a lump sum there are numerous options to have all your money in there from the start of the year and fix the rate. There are also easy access ISAs paying around 4.5%, so I can see why there is a lack of interest in this particular RS ISA.

Darlington RS Maturity - Thought mine was due to mature on 4/9, with final payment on 1/8, taking me to £3k. Just reading their process again and appears that maturity is at the end of the month (30/9). Do they allow a 13th payment? Can’t see anything that suggests otherwise.

I was planning to make a 13th payment, I didn't see anything preventing it.

Re Dudley BS - Loyalty Regular Saver - Issue 3 - post/passbook, my account has been open a week now but the details won't pass Confirmation of Payee (COP) with any bank I try, I phoned them and they couldn't help but said send us a PM, so I did and they replied along the lines of "of course it doesn't pass COP because we are not a clearing bank, override and send anyway" - which is fine but why do my other 3 regular saver accounts with Dudley pass COP then!

Dudley have two different bank account numbers, 10001008 and 10001016, check you're using the right one for your account. It should pass COP, I'm sure, if you have this correct, together with your own name and your 9-digit Dudley saver number.

More inclined to go for this ISA version on the basis that I don't have an ISA paying 4.5%, and if you make a mistake/need a withdrawal you still get over half of the rate and not less than a fifth of it. But again Beverley could have written their information better as it appears to me, unlike RS Issues 1 and 2, that it is possibly not an open ended account (as it mentions maturity on 31st March.)
