The response mine gave when I mentioned I had over 100 accounts was a worried "aaaarrrggggghhh". I sent them 2 zipped folders with the statements in and an explanatory note explaining that I feed regular savers every month and from which accounts, they managed it alright.
I'm just having a skeg through my regular savers. The following off the top of my head let me generate custom pdf statements for whichever timeframe I wanted with full name & address on:
Aldermore, Bath, Cambridge, Chorley, Coventry, Gatehouse, Hanley (send a secure message, they send a pdf back), Manchester, Newcastle, Mansfield, Monmouthshire, NatWest/RBS, Skipton, Saffron, YBS. Possibly others, I'd need to double check.
Regardless though I intend to post another list of currently available and NLA regular savers at some point this month as I'm conscious the end of the tax year is approaching.
For those refreshing regular savers for tax purposes, also note the end of the tax year falls on Easter Sunday, therefore the final working day of the tax year is an unusually early Thursday 2nd April. Ensure you factor this in as often closure requests submitted after close of business are processed the next working day.

We left a large ring binder bursting at the seams at our solicitors for proof and source of funds.
At the time I had close to 100 RS and almost 40 Virgin Current accounts (when they had the best rate).
Printing those statements out (with a looming deadline of reduced stamp duty coming out of the COVID period) is not a place I want to go back to in many ways.
Posting for info - not as a 'look at me'

You can also change Principality to 7.5% to match the rest. 7.36% is gross, not AER🙂

Thanks. Useful to know which providers are good at providing PDF statements. Principality annoyingly insist on sending it by post, and I get post once a week if I'm lucky. Virgin and Santander provided PDFs but they took a couple of days.
I haven't spoken to my solicitor face to face or by phone, so I haven't seen/heard their reaction to my account collection - they've been very polite and formal by email. I reckon I've provided them with everything they need, and I'm assuming they're working their way through it as they haven't asked me for anything more.

Are reg savers still worth it for you people who have so many.. The expense of accountants and solicitors involved for HMRC purposes must eat heavily into profits?

Proof of deposit/funds is definitely a headache when there are many accounts involved. Think it took about a week or so of many questions and follow up info before my solicitor was satisfied. Doesn't help that with a lot of savings accounts online you can't actually print a statement showing both your transactions together with your name and address and sort code and account number.

Am conscious this is turning into the other 'How many RS have you got thread' so I'll keep this brief.
Again for me personally it's definitely worth it.
As an example (and a subset of my RS) I've got £3900 leaving my accounts each month to RS which have interest rates > 7%.
(Consisting of 5 - PBS, 2 Saffron, 1 FD, 3 Monmouthshire).
Regarding accountants - like lots on here I quite enjoy doing all myself and am fortunate to have the time to do it.
Apologies for the detour folks.
