    Great!

It was working for me in that thread yesterday evening. It is not now.

It should work for everybody on every browser every time.

I don't know whether others have the same issue, and don't have time to trawl through all the complaints, but I'm having issues with notifications. Every now and then I'll get a notification that there's been a reply to one of my posts, click to go check it and get the 'Comment Not Found' message. Great, on the old forum it meant the poster had deleted their post, but on this forum I'm getting it when there has been a response that hasn't been deleted.

"… So, where are all the other forums hosted by the same platform provider?"

Dunno. I'm simply going by what @MSE_Stephen said at 3:59pm on 27 Sept in the post I quoted:

"… Our provider, Vanilla, create a platform used by hundreds of forums. Though we can customise and tailor far more than we could with many other forum providers, changing the editor for us changes it for every customer. Only features that many customers want will usually be considered…"

He seemed to think this would be news to forum users complaining about the update

"…but we want to be 100% sure it doesn't cause issues"

Forgive me saying so but your desire to be 100% sure about not causing issues with changes to the platform seems to be rather selective(!)

Do you get actual people who use the forum on a daily basis to test changes before roll out?

Like people who use the quote function a lot?

    @MSE_Stephen

    When you say

"Many members think [the old editor's] fine but don't hear the regular complaints we receive."

where are these regular complaints being made to you?

Are they being made on this forum or is there some other channel for making complaints about the forum that you take more notice of?

[First of all let me apologise for directing so many posts to you. Previously I would have put everything in a single post but I don't know how to do quotes from different posts now.]

When you say "That's not quotes. That's the 'threaded' or 'nested' format that will be available to soon…"

what exactly do you mean? (I'm a technophobe and IT illiterate).

I'm concerned - as a previous poster was - that quotes could be retrospectively changed if the original post being quoted is edited after being quoted.

If people misuse this new "threaded" or "nested" format when it becomes available, will these chains or nests of threads be "live" or "frozen"?

(Again, apoligies if I'm misunderstanding but I'm an IT idiot…)
