in Credit cards
Hi - I always use Curve to spend on my UK credit card, but as I use the free card, for the first time I am getting fees on transactions.
Is there anyway I can get a card I can use for Applepay - immediately? ie is there a card I can apply for whilst abroad, and instead of waiting for the physical card, I can start spending using my phone?

Do you need credit or would a debit card do?
Banks may have an issue with you applying from overseas as they dont have a banking licence in the country you are in at the time which in theory could get them in trouble (noting that AmEx UK is a sister company to AmEx in the US so you can't say that applying in the US for a UK is ok)
Starling I am fairly sure is instant but it's a debit card. Barclarycard was instant for me but I am an existing customer so that may change matters.0 -
Chase Debit (then subsequent Credit application) may be worth looking at. No idea if they will entertain you if are out of the country.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards.
