I could bore you all day with where I am up to but in brief
1. Honda - not interested in their pathetic range, especially in cold weather, even without the accessories on
2. The Motor Ombudsman - total waste of time - they are paid by the Motor manufacturers
3. Great car, its a shame that I can't go very far in it

Google says "Real Range between 145 - 310 miles" what are you getting, at best?Honda e:Ny1 EV SUV - Up to 256 miles driving range on a single charge.

In the absence of a question about consumer rights, it looks like this would be better suited to this board:PNY405 said:I could bore you all day with where I am up to but in brief

The range figures quoted by the car manufacturers are all derived by an independent testing body which use a very complicated test regime that is far too boring to go into.
The manufacturers then cover their bottoms by saying "your actual range may be different".
It seem that your actual range is different.3 -
Having just acquired an electric car, I like the fact that it heats itself up before I get in. In the recent cold weather, it's made a real difference.
Sadly, looking at the consumption figures, it's used roughly 50% of the power on heating and 50% on driving. You don't get owt for nowt.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
What sort of driving do you do?PNY405 said:I could bore you all day with where I am up to but in brief

Lots of short trips? EV are just a inefficient as ICE on these, as heating car is biggest drain.
Lots of M/W driving at speed limit?Life in the slow lane0 -
a lot of the people complaining about these are the people that got them on a ridiculously cheap lease deal. The reason why they were ridiculously cheap was because it was quite widely known they didn't get near the estimated range.1

Do you pre-heat the battery in winter? 2.5miles per kw with a full car, heater on, motorway speed (under 70mph) would be expected by most electric cars. In summer, should be 3.5m ish. At 60mph on motorways I can get closer to 4m per kw in summer with just me in my electric car (not a Honda). Pre-heating does make a big difference.0

As said earlier, range can be anything from 145 miles (cold weather highway driving) to 310 miles (mild weather city driving). So what sort of driving are you doing? (A quick Google returns lots of results regarding range issues with the eNY1 though - although I don't know how many of them are real issues vs people not understanding how EV range is affected by temperature).
I have an MG4 (51kWh LFP version) - currently I'm seeing about 140 miles for a full charge. In summer I see more like 180+ miles. But it all depends on the type of driving I do, and the ambient conditions.Jenni x1 -
It can't be a "Great car" if one of its basic functions ie. to transport you doesn't work very well (and nothing like advertised). Like saying a washing machine is great all apart from the rinsing.PNY405 said:I could bore you all day with where I am up to but in brief

The shame of this is that Honda used to be a byword for quality in the car world. This and the lack of the Accord in their offering...fallen off a cliff1
