The shame of this is that Honda used to be a byword for quality in the car world. This and the lack of the Accord in their offering...fallen off a cliff
Back in those days Hondas used to suffer very badly with rust!0 -
Hondas we had lasted much better than the previous Morris, Austin and Renault monstrosities masquerading as family cars back then.1

Compared to the summer our hybrid vehicle range is rubbish in winter - 350 miles as opposed to almost 500 back in July.
However as 'recharging' it only takes about 5 minutes at a petrol pump its not a hardship.

Recharging my EV might take several hours, but in terms of MY time involvement it's less than a minute. Plus I don't need to go out of my way to stand at a tender dispensing flammable liquid - my "filling station" is on my drive.

Disconnecting takes longer than connecting, as I have to delve into the menu system to unlock the charging cable. Maybe I’m missing something?Jenni_D said:Recharging my EV might take several hours, but in terms of MY time involvement it's less than a minute. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I don't know what EV you have but both of ours (one Stellantis, one VW) have stopped the charge & unlocked the charging cable when you unlock the car.GDB2222 said:

My dad worked for Honda in the 70's. There was a massive waiting list for them because the competition from British Leyland was awful.robatwork said:Hondas we had lasted much better than the previous Morris, Austin and Renault monstrosities masquerading as family cars back then.
I always remember him saying when a customer used to come in to enquire about a new Civic and they'd parked their Allegro in the car park the sales manager would go over to them and ask them to park it down the road because they had a reputation to keep.haha3 -
Exactly this - my cable (plug) is released as soon as I unlock the car. (MG4) 🤷♀️QrizB said:

Poor to very poor power output from any battery in cold weather is pretty standard. The normal 12v battery in an ICE car can struggle in cold weather. It's one of the major problems with fully electric cars.0

Unlocking car should release cable to remove.GDB2222 said:
