I think I may have messed up my chances of getting the lump sum for switching to a TSB Spend & Save account. The switch has gone through, but from a Halifax account that did not have any direct debits set up on it. I thought I would be able to set up two new direct debits on the TSB account after the switch to qualify, but I have read elsewhere that the two direct debits had to be already set up on the old account transferred in.

The trouble is, I cannot find anything in the emails received from TSB, or messages in online banking or on the website that explicitly set out the conditions of qualifying for the lump sum for switching. As the switching offer has now finished, there's nothing about it in the current terms and conditions for switching on the website. Can anyone point me in the right direction to obtain the terms and conditions in force at the time? The switch was requested on 16/02/2026 and the switch completed on 26/02/2026.

This offer did not require any direct debits to be set up on the new Spend & Save account or moved across from the old account during the switch.

Here are the T&Cs of the offer.

Guessing the first £150 will be paid on 7th April?

I'm still waiting too, met all the criteria a couple of weeks ago. I've had trouble with TSBs switch offers before though so hoping it does come through.

Has anybody had the £150 from TSB? Also wasn't there another £25 Amazon voucher for signing up via MoneySavingExpert? Heard nothing about either. Not very impressed with TSB.

I had trouble picking my TSB reward too, so I wrote a blog post detailing exactly what you get:

  • Reminder to deposit £1000 any time this month to be eligible for the additional £50 payment

  • Also just received the £150 switch bonus!

Switch bonus also received today. Wasn’t there first thing so looks like it was processed during the day.

7th April - still not had switch bonus. Trying to contact TSB via online chat - but "in a queue". Will not be staying with such a user-unfriendly bank going forward. Done many switches before - all hassle-free - unlike TSB.

UPDATE - after along wait, very unhelpful 'chat' unable to tell me anything and suggest I try again tomorrow. Useless.
