Hope your toe feels better soon Odds.
Feeling pooped now and recovering from another near disaster.
OH decided to hoover again but took the end off the hoover so it was just the hose. Then he got distracted by something and let it go whereupon it fell on the hearth and sucked up some flaming coals. First he new was the smoke coming out of the hoover. First I knew was him running past me in the kitchen with a smoking hoover bag.
He threw it out the back door and after an ear bashing from me. (this is the second hoover he has blown up/set on fire in 8 days) we all went to sit down.
Next time he went to the kitchen he accused me of leaving the oven on 'cos the kitchen was smoky. The smoke was coming from the back door where I discovered that, when he'd chucked the flaming bag out it had set the bin on fire.
This man has a PHd !!!!!!.
